Frankenstein Pub

Such a surprising find! We stumbled across this place and fell in love. The most awesome themeing I've seen, all perfectly executed as a love-letter to the classic Universal Frankenstein. The little "show" was unexpected and so cool! The drinks were great, with The Goblet of Fireball being incredible. Food was simple, basic, but very tasty. So glad we found this!

Good pub with Brief Frankenstein animatronic show every hour. Drinks typical Edinburgh City centre prices. A range of 12 inch pizza and loaded fries available to with a few sides and cheesecake pudding. Tried loaded fries with Nduja and mozzarella which were nice as a snack. Family tried blue and red monster cocktails. Blue was very sweet but my daughter enjoyed. The Frankenstein show is quirky and gets tourists in during the day. Only lasts a few minutes but is quirky. Range of merch available behind the bar. There are bars on 3 floors but only one open during the day. Worth a visit if you are visiting Edinburgh for the day and want a pub that's a bit quirky

Great atmosphere, and of course, based on the classic Frankenstein movies, which stared Boris Karloff as the monster. I've been so many times, although not been in here in ages, so I got surprised that there is a screen stage of the Frankenstein that comes alive and sees photos!! Great for drinks, food, and during the Edinburgh Fringe free & some have to pay events. See Edinburgh Fringe Festival or phone Frankensteins direct what's on! Fantastic spot for horror lovers. The Gothic decor and eerie atmosphere create a captivating experience. The drinks and food selection are enjoyable, but it can get busy. Don't miss the thrilling "Frankenstein waking up" show at 11 pm! It was super cool! However, the only downside was that the staff were not really friendly, which slightly affected the overall experience.

Came here with the kids halfway through our day trip to Edinburgh. One of us has a milk allergy so we were immediately attracted in with the vegan pizza which was absolutely delicious. It didn't matter that it was the only option as it was just a lunch stop for us. 5 of us shared 2 large pizzas and a side of chips and it was ample. Our young teens loved the themed decor and were mesmerized by the monster lightening show

Absolutely fantastic pub, so quirky and the decor is superb! Such a lovely atmosphere with great staff. The best part for me was the monster when you catch him waking from his slumber. I managed to catch this on at least four occasions and it was so mesmerising to watch every time. I wish this was my local, I can't wait to visit Edinburgh again and pay another visit 🥰

Hands down our favorite pub especially for my wife. This is a popular place so get here early if you want seating. We were in a booth on the main floor. There is also seating on the floor above. Place from outside looks similar to a castle and the interior is made to look like Frankensteins laboratory right down to the body on a gurney being raised up to receive his dose of lightning. Also showing the original movie on screen. We loved this stuff. We each had a beer, 2 martinis and a shot. Best drinks. Also ordered a pizza which wasn't that great. The bartenders were great. Would definitely be back here. Highly recommend
