Another above average Italian restaurant in the lower section of Edinburgh. We had the mushroom pizza and an order of the garlic bread. Both were above average. They have indoor and outdoor seating and are dog friendly. They don't have any draft beers but have a decent selection of about 6 bottles or cans ranging from 3-6 GBP per.

This is our nearest Pizza Express. Had not been in for a while, but had a voucher for an offer. The range of food is good, the kid's menu wholly adequate, and the staff are great. Not a huge fan of chains, but this place has the feel of a local restaurant as it is tucked away behind the Royal Mile.

I would like to specially commend our waiter tonight - Sergio. He was attentive, without being pushy, responsive and alert to our needs. When we needed more time there was no feeling of being rushed. He dealt with all our needs expertly.

Good pizza and really tasty. The starters where mouth watering. Also they customize any pizza with toping choises. Also for drinking all major options are available. Coffee, hot chocolate, wine, cocktails soft drinks. Also the staff are really nice and friendly

Excellent teamwork among the employees from kitchen to servers. Our group of 30 ate over £300 of pizza and enjoyed consistently impressive service. It's become an annual event on our closing night prior to returning to Tennessee after 3 weeks in Scotland for academic study. Next year's group will do the same.

Gosia was a really nice helpful waitress who made sure we got the best table in the restaurant and made sure we were seen very quickly. She was very polite and attentive. She made our night such a lovely night.

Excellent tasting food. It looks like just another pizza joint but its actually much closer to fine dining than takeaway. Fast service. Definately worth the time.

Conveniently placed just off the Royal Mile near the Scottish Parliament. Same setup as other Pizza Expresses with the same menu. The service was good and the staff polite. I expect one or two were Uni Students. Can be noise with children early tea time.

We visited this place on a Sunday afternoon and it was nice and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially when we were quite a big group. Starters came quickly but the mains took a short while. I'm guessing it might just be down to the size of our party. The food was good and the meal deal made it very worth the money.

Great spot for groups - added bonus that they were taking bookings during the Festival. Pizza Express rarely disappoints and this is a perfect example of the consistent service and quality of food.They have a mezzanine level upstairs perfect for parties. Great location too for refuelling after adventuring in Holyrood Park or summiting the awesome Arthur's Seat
