Yocoko Noodle Bar

One of my favourite places to eat in Edinburgh although not everyone will like it. The menu is huge and a little bit complicated. The portion sizes are massive and the food is great, cheap comfort food. The staff are a little rude so don't expect great customer service and they only except cash which is annoying. It's not what you are looking for if you want fine dining but if you want a full belly and cheap food I can totally recommend it.

An unusual place for a pre-theatre meal. As I was having dinner by myself, I was on the look out for a simple eating place. Glad i chose this cafe style restaurant. The menu has quite a wide range of choices. Really impressed with the fried rice I ordered; very fresh and lots of flavour without the taste of MSG.

Large selection of pan Asian noodle & rice dishes. Portions are large & prices pretty reasonable for central Edinburgh so not a bad place to fill up. The Singapore noodles I had were pretty average but perfectly okay. Have seen a few complaints about service here & althoigh I found this on the fast/efficient side rather than friendly, it was fine by me.

Cheap and well served portions of noddles and rice. I wouldn't recommend to go out of those two options (maybe Dumplings) but honestly the rice and the noodles are the primes and the good thing there. Even though you have a lot of options after a few visits you discover that they are not very different between them. I go at least a couple of times every month. Is one of the places to have something apart than kebab that close the latests (I've arrived at 10 and they serve you with a happy face). Don't forget to ask for your FREE TEA.
