Neal's Yard

Locally owned franchise by sole proprietor, Kate Harahan, for the past 7 years or so. The staff of the shop are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The independently employed therapists are also carefully vetted, experienced in a range of fields and experts in their practices. I frequently buy herbs, teas, skincare products and go in for affordably priced treatments and deep tissue massages from a number of the therapists, when I need to sort out my back from training or sport!

I bought my girlfriend some vouchers as it is her birthday soon, her friend and herself both really like Fiona, one of the lady's who does massages. Victoria was really friendly and had everything, presented nicely & prepared for me so didn't take long, keeping a ticket off my car. Not sure if I would have received such a nice welcome from the other staff, but was really impressed with Victoria she knew her products very well and as I mentioned all ready she was very friendly.

The NYR products are great if you are looking for organic and paraben free. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the products. I also tried a couple of the treatments they offer in the therapy rooms, like acupuncture and indian head massage and can fully recommend them. I got a couple of teas there that i really like as well. Great shop.

Lotions, potions, creams, conditioners and even teas... you can get them all at Neal's Yard. Behind the shop, however, you can also have a range of treatments, from massage to cranial osteopathy. I opted for acupuncture – and was genuinely surprised how relaxing it was being turned into a human pin cushion! If you've never had it done, it doesn't hurt, just feels a little odd – after the pins are put in, you can barely feel they're there. So did it work? Well, I came away feeling like I'd just done a hour's yoga when all I'd done was lie down – so I guess it did!
