Elaine's Cuppa Cake

Very nice breakfast on Victoria street on a Saturday morning. We arrived when they opened at 8:30 and there was already a queue. The poached eggs were perfection and the pancakes delicious. Coffee very good but was let down by the “sunshine” smoothie which was supposed to have orange, pineapple and mango instead was just orange juice. It was very busy but the service was spot on a friendly. Would come back when next time in Edinburgh!

Super! This place is amazing for meat eaters as well as vegans! The staff is kind and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend. It gets busy so its better to reserve if you plan on eating during the busiest times of the day (ie 12 to 1pm). At Halloween they decorated the place and also the music was in theme.

The breakfast was really nice, we ordered an acai bowl which was made really well, avocado on toast, chai latte and a turmeric latte. I really cannot complain about the food. However, the let down was the service and how cramped it was inside. There is not enough space between you and the table next to you.

You can always be certain to be served : you can either order something to go or enjoy the outdoor terrace or be seated inside with a cocooning atmosphere. They make homemade smoothies, juices & milkshakes. There is a large choice for vegetarians and vegans. The food was very tasty, they have fresh ingredients and everything is cooked in the kitchen. There is a big and kind team, really responsive.

This is a cute place for a spot of lunch or breakfast. But, I was a bit underwhelmed by the portions for a £10 tofu toast. I was surprised that there were quite limited vegan options. However, the turmeric latte was delicious! I’d recommend sitting here with a hot drink and watching Victoria St go by.
