The Jungle Court

Nice day spent at zoo, unfortunately not our day to see all the animals as they’d mostly decided to stay inside where we couldn’t visit but hey ho! Got to see the Pandas before they leave which was nice and really loved seeing the penguins swimming around. We had to wait nearly an hour in the Que that circled the car park to get in and there was only 1 member of staff patrolling which was fine with us but others had questions and were asking those of us further ahead in Que which we couldn’t answer. Bought tickets in advance but this didn’t help the Que situation as we were all in same line, once inside it saved poss 30secs on entering. None of it put a dampener on the day though.

This place is amazing! They have everything you could possibly wish for in a zoo and more than you could ever expect. All the staff are well educated and always friendly in case you have any questions about any of their animals. This zoo cares for their animals and you can tell. Edinburgh zoo also offers tons of options for great food and also they don’t use any single use plastics. This place is perfect for anyone and everyone no matter age, physical ability or interests.

Spectacular place to visit! With a wide variety of animals from all over the world this zoo is great place of attraction for animal lovers, the staff are very friendly and helpful too. There is loads of parking on site and it's very accessible with buses too, plenty of facilities within the zoo for food etc too. Would definitely recommend for a day or two out to explore these magnificent animals in the nature :)

Great day out. Zoo is on a hill so quite a challenge to get all the way up and around but definitely worth it. Animals are lovely and well looked after. Plenty to do and reasonably priced. Would recommend for single visit or with family / friends. Takes a few hours. Plenty of parking which costs but for Edinburgh it’s very handy. Would definitely revisit. Loved the tigers and lions. Buy tickets in advance to save yourself some money.

Day out to the zoo was much better than anticipated... Showery weather forecast turned out to be sunny, dry and warm! Planning our visit to see animals on the flatter part of the zoo due to mobility issues was not a problem as a helpful friendly member of staff called us a mobility vehicle who kindly took us right the way up to the giraffe enclosure at the top of the zoo telling us all about the animals we passed by on the way. Once at the top the idea was to take a slow stroll back down, however we unfortunately needed the mobility vehicle to take us to the first aid hut after something flew/blew into our daughters eye, the two first aiders were amazing and gave a full eye flush and bathe. Back down in the main complex we decided to take out a membership as felt we would love to return and see more of the zoo and its vast array of animals at different times as we realised that some of the animals we hoped to see were quietly enjoying an afternoon nap in the sunshine! We have also been informed of the member events so look forward to finding out more about these with our membership

We had a great day out at the zoo. We found everyone there extremely friendly and helpful. There is plenty of disabled parking and a free ride to get you about the zoo which is very hilly. We used the ride to get to the top and spent the day meandering down. Some of the paths are a little taxing for people who rely on wheels. The pandas are amazing as are the Koalas. We spent ages just watching them. There are plenty of facilities for disabled people.
