Enjoy going into Shandwicks for a cheap drink and atmosphere, only issue I have is the amount of seats at the bar obviously regulars which is fair enough but doesn't leave a lot of space for ordering, having to shout over someone's head then struggling to get drinks away from bar. Perhaps have a non seating area at the bar for ordering?

Great place for students to hangout or for gathering! Alcoholic drinks here are fairly cheap and the pub has chill ambience. Location is strategic. Definitely would return!

Emma is the best bartender I have ever experienced in my life entire time in Edinburgh and I have been here since birth she has served me since I was of legal drinking age . And she is FABULOUS!!

Generally speaking, I think the people make the place and Emma H. is what MAKES this place. I was surprised to find someone so witty and charming, but there she was! Fantastic drink recommendation (the blue one?) 10/10 would come back for a drink and good bants

This place is amazing! Emma the bartender is the best person at this place! She truly makes Shandwicks the place to be. Emma always gives the best service, has the brightest smile and is just the best person at this place. Emma is the best! Plus just so pretty that the atmosphere may not be great but she makes that place shine!

I love going to Shandwick's, and the staff are always attentive and helpful. I was in this past Saturday, and had Emma serve me. She poured immaculate pints, and made sure that my mixed drinks were perfect. We later ordered a pitcher from her, and it was the best Venom I've had in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone that wants great, affordable drinks.

Shandwick's is my go-to pub in Edinburgh. I love walking in and being greeted by the energetic and unique staff team each time, specifically Emma. Each time I leave the pub, I am left with a smile on my face and a yearning to go back. I go at least once a week - see you there on Friday for the awesome DJ and cheap drinks!

I always have such incredible times at Shandwicks! The music is great and pints are cheap! Emma is a fantastic server who always remembers my drink. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

went there last week for a pub social and it was amazing. the staff were great and the atmosphere was stellar. the drinks were affordable and good. will definitely be going there frequently in the future😆😆

Cheap pints (Coors and Carling at less than £2), great vibes! The atmosphere is lovely and may be noisy for some people. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the several times we visited while in Edinburgh.
P.s. the music is absolutely lovely!
