The Nether Bow Port Cafe & Bistro

I have one three letter word to describe this place…WOW… just WOW. My mind is blown away by the service and the food. The workers greeted me pleasantly and we had a light banter going on… they recommended many exquisite places in edinburgh that i had never heard of! Hats off to the cooks as well who made my mouth water with one of the most delicious food i have ever eaten... I highly recommend

It is a cute cafe with a very high service quality. I came for dinner and lemon chicken I ate was really great. They have employees who do their job well, and they are also very friendly. The owner is a very funny person, it was very pleasant to talk to him. Definitely a place to go on my next visit!

We were staying right next door to this restaurant, but only happened to stumble in our last night in Scotland. I had a seabass, which was good, and then the mixed veggies turned into a salad and I can't remember the exact style of potatoes listed on the menu, but those turned out to be fries. Food was average to good, but it's a cafe, so I wouldn't expect a gourmet meal necessarily. Also had a couple glasses of red wine and those were good. The service we received was really good. The owner waited on us and then we had one other server helping. The owner was very friendly, provided quick service, and even gave us recommendations about the local area. Note that the credit card machine wasn't working the night we were there, which I know several others have mentioned, so you might want to be prepared to pay in Pounds.
