So glad to have stopped for a whiskey tasting. I wish I caught the bartender's name (barman working yesterday around 3pm - shoutout and thank you to you!), because he was fantastic. Friendly and shared a ton of info about the whiskey while making it approachable and enjoyable. Some places can be pretentious about it, and this was not. So welcoming and interesting. Would highly recommend and hope to be back!

Best atmosphere! Best pub to have pint after long day at work ! Shout out to Sophie and the gentleman in a glasses (sorry don’t know the name) Local pastry chef here enjoying the venue each day more ! Thank you for being amazing hosts every time ! Keep up guys best pub in Edinburgh! ❤️❤️❤️

Not a food pub so I can’t rate that. However it’s a proper pub, quality, friendly staff with superb whisky knowledge. A great sit at the bar proper pub.

Really lovely pub near The Royal Mile. Came here to do a "Whiskey Flight", tasting three different Malts from specific regions. Instead of trying to sell us just anything, the friendly and very competent bartender asked us what we like about Whiskey and recommended a lovely selection of drinks. Had a nice conversation and tour through the Malts, highly recommended!
Nice and cozy interior, my new favorite place in Edinburgh for a pint and a wide variety of Single Malts.

Ask for David if you want to learn about the wonders of scotch. We spent an hour one Waverley and got a PHD in scotch.

Amazing atmosphere and service. Just don't sit next to the mens toilets, the door wafts pee-smell at you everytime someone enters or exits. Otherwise a wonderful pub, definitely recommend.

Went for a fringe show and had a great time, lovely staff, fair priced drinks, and an excellent whisky selection, the barman Cameron was very helpful and was quick to recommend a dram from their extensive library of bottles. Would come back happily for a few drams, very recommended

Had a great time here taking in Ralph Brown’s fringe comedy routine (Ralpha Male) and a pint here at the Waverley. (I would agree that anyone who says they have rescued a dog from Santorini by taking them to Aberdeen, maybe didn’t consider the dog’s perspective.) Cool spot!

A fantastic wee bar, a great selection of whisky and gin. Didn’t have any food.
We went to a comedy show upstairs, which was really funny - Stuart Mitchell, worth checking out 😂
