Rubab Indian Cuisine

Really nice meal tonight. The mushroom pakora, mango chicken, mushroom rice and peshwari naan were all really tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant itself is really bright and clean with nice decoration and music. The toilets were ok, very clean but I think some damage had been done to them that day. Overall price wise, it was reasonable. I couldn't finish my main but got to take it away in a doggy bag. The only thing a little pricey was the large glass of rose wine which came in at just under £9.

Good food for a reasonable price, staff checks on you etc. The location is nice too. Good to know if you're interested in prices: a main dish comes without a naan, so all in all it will set you back about 18 pounds, (soft)drinks are nicely priced at 2,50. Which is quite reasonable I'd say. Food wise: the peshwari naan and the chicken pathia are well recommended. I've read other reviews here: when in doubt just ask about or say no to the starter kind of thing they offer when sitting down (but to be fair the restaurant could be more transparent about this).

Truly Indian! Request to the management: Whatever happens don't change the chefs! One of the finest and best restaurants offering Indian cuisine as exactly as India. The first bite itself will bring back life to the buried desi in you. I've tried so many Indian restaurant in Dublin and London but this is simply The Best! Ordered achari naan, garlic chili paneer, chicken tikka and mushroom rice. All three are wholesome and must try and amazed by the long list of options available for vegetarians! Price and reasonable and quantity are enough for a single person. Great ambience and super friendly staff members. You can enjoy a great meal along with vintage Bollywood songs playing in the background.

Found this gem on Google after searching for a local Indian restaurant after a long day of bus tours round the city. We were very glad we did! Great service, food was lovely too, although the butter chicken was a bit spicier than I was expecting it was still very tasty. Husband was particularly impressed with the pickle tray appetiser, and loved his Lamb Karahi. Would definitely come back if we were ever to visit Edinburgh again.

OMG!!! What a shame we only discovered this place as we were heading to the airport...My my my, the food was amazingly flavoursome. I have eaten in the best best Indian restaurants around the world and this place just nocks them all for six!!! I am very surprised by the price for lunch (£10.95 for a 3 course lunch), and quality of everything we eat was exceptional! The warm welcome by all the staff was fantastic...Thank you guys and please keep up the great hospitality. This place was the highlight of my stay in Edinburgh (even though we stayed and dined at Sheraton Grand Hotel!)…What a shame we don't live close as I would have been dining there twice a week at least. Even my wife who is picky when it comes to eating out loved it, and we were both reminiscing about the place when we got back home. We will surely tell friends around Edinburgh about the restaurant for sure. Sorry forgot to take picture of the main meal!

Food was exceptional. Best curry I've ever had in my life. You wouldn't expect it to find the best Indian restaurant in Scotland! So flavourful the spices hit the spot and also plenty of choice of curries. Customer service was spot on and even the door was opened for us when we were leaving. Every detail matters and I want to thank all the staff for a wonder experience. Will be coming back if I'm in Edinburgh again.

Just had the best Indian meal at rubab last night. Family night out for 8 people. Food was amazing as was the friendly service. We all shared lots of different dishes and everyone agreed each dish was delicious. The chef came to the table to speak to everyone before preparing our meals. The nan bread is the best ever. Can't wait to return for another excellent night. Thanks Rubab for a brilliant night out. P.S the prices are just as amazing as the food.
