Manhattan Bagel

Today was my first visit. The bacon jalapeño roll was delicious, however the service was quite surprising. I've read so many lovely reviews about the friendly service. The young lady taking my order seemed annoyed, the young lady ringing me up was very impatient. I did mistake the bacon jalapeño roll and called it a bagel so she charged me for a sandwich. No big deal, I just noticed I was overcharged and asked how much my food was. She then in a very condescending manner told be I ordered a roll. I admit I made the error, I did apologize, but saw no reason to act do exasperated. There was no line being help up. I did enjoy my food, but not worth going back for such service.

Place has gone downhill in an endless spiral the last few years. Every. Single. Time…it’s the same pathetic looking Pork Roll sandwich. They “toast” it but it’s still a chewy squishy mess of a bagel. The pork roll isn’t any better. Tough and chewy as well. What the hell happened? This place used to be a legitimate bagel shop and now it’s the most pathetic place I’ve been giving my business to. No more sadly. Avoid if you can not worth the time or money.

I eat here regularly and the staff is a group of some of the most friendly people I've ever met. To couple that with how good the food is, I'll be visiting this location for years to come. Other Manhattan bagel locations just don't exhibit the same quality of food and should follow this location's example. I'd recommend trying the Avocado Egg White sandwich (the way it comes) and their Chicken Salad on a croissant.
