After this restaurant replaced Papparich address, the area has expanded, the menu has been upgraded that some high-end dishes have been added. It feels like the restaurant is now more upscale. Shanghai dishes are small in size. You can try more different dishes at a time. If you are two people you will need to order 3 to 4 dishes.

Soft opening this week! Chowbus client 30% off the bill. Dine in only and takeout starts next week.
We walked by this place and saw they just opened. Was a little hesitated to dine in but they did emptied a table between dinning groups and all workers wear masks. So we decided to give it a try.
Great:
Braised pork belly with vegetables - the fat just melt in your mouth and you won’t find it oily at all. Good amount of seasoning. Very delicious.
Black truffles with mushroom over rice - a really nice surprise. You can taste the intense mushroom flavors mixed with truffle’s aroma. Each scoop of rice is a joy.
Ok-ish:
Their sautéed cabbage was too oily. I know it’s common practice to add boiled cooked oil over the vegetables before serving, but we found vegetables getting soaked in oil. Would ask for less oil next time for their vegetables.
Not-my-fav:
Pan fried pork buns: they use the same bun from the steam pork juicy bun, so the shell is not thick enough as the normal pan fried buns. It’s also too sweet for non-Shanghai people like me.
Great service and atmosphere. Overall good experience.

A little on the expensive side for what it is. Some of the items shouldn't be priced the way it is, I think it's because the presentation is edgy. Overall the food is really good, especially the spicy soup dumplings. They're probably the most unique ones I've had.

We went there twice, the food was good. The restaurant specialize in spicy dishes but the spice level can be adjusted to taste. We had Chonqin noodles, pork rice noodles, and pan fried pork juicy bun. We had intestine clear noodles and scallion oil noodles. The pan fried pork bun is on the sweet side. The scallion oil noodles is somewhat plain. The intestine in the clear noodles is very sweet but it's a good flavor. The pork rice noodles is decent but not enough noodles in such a big bowl of soup. The Chongqing noodle is our favorite out of the dishes we have tried so far. It had a balanced spice and flavor with some peanuts for crunchiness. The restaurant can get crowdy during lunch. There is limited parking.

A must to go place every time we go to Edison, even during pandemic. Great and fresh take out cuisine, moderate size, more than average price tag, but worth tasting once for a while.
