Mauro's Pizza Factory

We moved to the town about a year ago and we haven't found a pizza place that was really good. We were having a 1st birthday party for our son and we wanted to have pizza. So, we went around trying a slice from different places and once we tried Papa Joes, we were sold. We placed the order immediately. They are closed on Sundays, and our party was on a Sunday, but they opened just to do our party. They are so friendly, pleasant, and affordable. Plus, the pizza is great! Cannot beat that! We will definitely be returning customers and so happy to find a pizza place in the area that we enjoy. Thanks so much!

Dirty place. Smells like Indian food when its supposed to be a Italian restaurant. Phones rings no-one picks up. I have to unfortunately yell "excuse me" a good seven times before someone came out to hand me my food. Which I got lucky with because he just happened to walk out. It wasn't because he heard me. Two guys the only ordered 3 slices between them waited longer then me and I ordered a hot sandwich. They were already sitting way before I got there..just disappointed. Its close to my job too. Bummer

The place needs a good update. The inside just seemed very old, dirty and sticky. I ordered an eggplant parm sandwich to dine in for lunch, it arrived at my table on a sheet of foil, no plate. The sandwich itself was very bland and unseasoned. I guess they do not expect dine in customers because the owner's office was the dining room's center table.

Place looked like it was under construction. They had two pizzas on display (plain and pepperoni) - no idea what the specialty slices were and they're not on the menu which looks like it's from a movie. Incredibly basic. Not even sure what they had in terms of regular slices. Pizza was okay, not great, so two stars. The only thing above average was the price. Very affordable, so I guess you get what you pay for. Probably will not go back.

I had the tri-color pasta with sauteed egg plant & it was very good. A definite do again. The top of the dish its covered with a legs a layer of melted mozzarella. My photo doesn't really do the dish justice. The pasta was cooked just right, & when I warm my leftovers (nearly half the meal) up for breakfast, it still won't be overcooked, which is not normal for most restaurant pasta. Most restaurants overcook their pasta, in my opinion. Next time I'm in this area (I drive a truck) I'll call & have my meal delivered. I'm in this area about every 2 weeks. Not as fancy as Olive Garden, but the food is much better, the pasta isn't overcooked, & the price is better. I may branch out next time & try their pizza.

I live in southern Illinois and my husband is an over the road truck driver. He was stuck at a location he had to unload his delivery and could not leave. I ordered his food for him and they brought his food to him in the time they told him it would be there. My husband said the food was excellent. He stated he had to wait on it to cool down because it was still very hot when he got it. He stated if he is ever in the area of Edison,NJ he would defiantly eat at papa joe's again!
