Alberona Restaurant & Pizzeria

3/9 I went on grub hub looking for a new pizza experience. based on my home address several places came up. at 6:22 pm I ordered from Alberona pizzeria, the estimate delivery was 6:50-7:00 pm. It is now 7:15 and no pizza. So decided to call restaurant. They put me on hold several times trying to find the order. They realized that they missed the order and never made the pizza. They offered several excuses ( we are busy, I should come and pick up, they only have one driver, that it is on it way and it will get there soon). I never heard I am sorry we totally messed up. At this point I am totally confused and my children are crying and starving. I call back ten minutes later, at 7:25. Wondering what is going on and what I am going to do for dinner because at this point I didn’t think pizza was coming any time soon. This time a man answers the phone, asking me why I didn’t call earlier? why I ordered from them in the first place? didn’t I know they are to far away? I tried to explain to the man that grub hub gives suggestions based on my address and I have no idea how far they are. At the point the man yells at and say “ do you what your pizza ?” I say “ No, I would like a refund.” He say “go and call F****** grub hub or where ever you ordered from.” I am a mother of 3 young children, it is really disgusting that a men would yell and curse at me for ordering pizza from them. Grub hub did say sorry and offered 5 grub dollars. After that experience I am weary about ordering from grub hub again. I ended up heating up some leftover chicken. Then my staving children were happy. Please don’t order from this restaurant. It really disgusting how they treat customers.

I like Alberona because the food is always fresh and the staff is always friendly. Of course, I like going here because it is right near my house. Whenever I grab a slice from this place the pizza is always fresh and seasoned well. I love the buffalo pizza they have, but there are many different combinations they have, such as chicken-bacon-ranch or chicken Cesar salad. I usually order from the pizzas they have ready, but will occasionally order a dinner or whole pie. All of the food that I have had from Alberona is good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants Italian food!

The food is good and they are prompt with the service. The girl who took my order on the phone was a little short and kept cutting me off saying "is that it". When I asked if they had cookies, she did not know they sold them until I told her. Other then that the food was very good, fresh and the delivery was prompt. They should run a coupon for their customers and also have better appetizers like Zucchini sticks.

I ordered on Grubhub at 6:30 for my food to be delivered at 8:30. 9:00 comes and still nothing, so I try calling the restaurant multiple times and got no answer. I called the Grubhub customer service team and they told me the restaurant closed early! Lucky I got a refund but this completely inconvenienced my plans.
