Ed's Bowling

This was such a highlight of our trip. The kids had a blast and I can’t say enough good things about the staff working at Ed’s bowling. They were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. If you have kids make sure you get there before 7 as it gets very busy after that and you could be waiting a while for a lane.

Pricey. Also was told by one of the workers there that wait is 2-3h for a lane. We decided to still put ourselves on a wait list. And got called after 30 min saying that a lane was ready. That’s a very big difference in wait time. Food and drinks are meh. Could be better for a better bowling experience. However, server was attentive. Also the seating area is pretty tight considering that they have a max or 6 people per lane. We were there on the long weekend and options for bowling balls was limited as next to every lane was occupied. Which kinda sucks when you are paying $95/hr. So had to bowl with a ball that I wasn’t entirely happy with. It ruins the experience a bit. Just seems like they are not prepared for that level of busyness.

My family of 4 and I travelled to Edmonton for a 2-day weekend last week, expecting to enjoy every moment as a family. As a result, we purchased a 2-day pass because we wanted to try every piece of entertainment the mall had to offer. Firstly we went to the famous water park. Disappointingly, a few of the primary slides, for example, the tropical typhoon and the cyclone, were closed. Our main letdown though was that we were unable to attend bowling at all! This was due to the fact that 2-day pass holders are not allowed to reserve bowling alleys and times. Bowling was a very large attraction that my kids were looking forward to attend but were unable to because of how busy it was. This was a major disappointment because we spent over $600 and were not able to attend it which is completely unfair and ridiculous. We are very disappointed and will not be buying or recommending the two-day pass because it is a waste of money if you are not given the right to reserve the lanes.

We were visiting from Toronto and came here two days in a row to kill time. The manager was extremely generous for accommodating us and allowing us to play for a special price, even though it was a one-time occurrence. Would definitely recommend this place if you're not going to be shopping and just want to wait on your friends or family while they roam around the mall.

Upon arriving to the front where you say your name for the reservation, me and my friends were not greeted by the front staff at the reception, and the 2 girls working on April 16 were too busy talking, and once we walked up we were never greeted but was greeted with a dirty look. Me and my friends have never been there before, was not sure how to go about our reservation and how to check in. She never asked for the name for the reservation, I had to tell her, and she also didn’t ask about shoe rental if it was separate or together so immediately tried charging altogether. Once I asked her if it could be separate, she gave me a dirty look. She never directed us where to grab our shoes, so we were just standing there with a line behind us. Once we did grab our shoes the kind man working at the shoe part answered all of our questions. We discussed as a group our experience at the front desk with the young girl with darker hair, and we were not happy. I would suggest putting someone there with a smile on their face happy to greet and help customers and be informative.
