Anvil Coffee House

Interesting place. They are on the YEG coffee pass, so we thought to try them out. The girl at the front said it’s only eligible for coffee drinks. That seems a bit silly, as the tea lattes should cost less. Got a dirty chai, it wasn’t that great. I would recommend they open up the YEG Coffee Pass to all drinks, even if you have to pay a little. I’d rather get something I truly want. Other than one other location on the YEG Coffee Pass, all the other businesses allow you to get any drink. Decor is great and it looks really nice on the inside. Great job, wish I could rate it higher.

I am not exaggerating when I say this coffee shop and its owners are part of the fabric of our community. Lesley and Tony are great folks and they have built a business they should be proud of. I was extremely impressed with how they handled Covid, and I am so relieved that they are still here for our neighbourhood. Coffee and drinks are excellent, and the breakfast/lunch options are solid. They are even licensed if you are so inclined in the afternoon or evening. I cannot say enough good things about Anvil and I hope they are here for a long time!

This coffee shop was the closest (and nicest looking) place located by my mothers work, so we visited during her lunch break as the previous reviews were promising- and I can say we both agreed that it lived up to our expectations. We ordered different flavours of iced tea and the bagel with cream cheese, arugula, tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar- it tasted amazing and you could automatically tell that the ingredients were fresh (which in my opinion justifies the price). Other patrons of the store were polite, helping to create a family friendly environment + atmosphere, and there were showcasings of colourful, unique art pieces along the walls. The customer service made you feel welcomed, we were greeted by an employee with a bubbly personality, she was easy to talk to, and even complimented my glasses! Washrooms were clean with nice and “soft” toilet paper (as my mom described them), with adorable signs distinguishing the different genders. Definitely a place worth visiting if you ever happen to be in the location, for example my mother said she will be visiting it every week.

This place is a quiet gem in Ottewell. Absolutely phenomenal food, large selection of craft drinks and coffees. Friendly, fast service. Since I found it close to my office I'm there at LEAST once a week. Try their cuban panini - to die for! The staff know many of their customers by name and it's a great cozy environment. Highly recommend! - The Cuban, Portuguese tart and black iced tea with 1 pump raspberry girl 😂

This place makes the most delicious Chai latté I've had in Edmonton. Absolutely beats out the competitors. Also, I came in right at close like some kinda idiot, not realizing their close time, and they still served me, so they all deserve a gold medal. PSA: Don't do what I did. Let people close. But props to them for still being keeping their customer service game faces on! I would not have been as nice to me.
