Baekjeong Korean Bbq House

I would give it 4.5 star to this place. We ordered the Baekjeong Combo for 2 and sliced beef tongue. All meats were great in big portion. I specially like its ventilation with minimum smell on our clothes when we left. Service was good, place is very spacious too. Will definitely come back again whenever I wanna a Korean BBQ.

The food were great , no doubt about it. I am still giving this with a 3 star because of disappointment with the service and the 15% mandatory gratuity. It's not a problem for us to spend money on food and services, we always visit places like this to introduce it to our friends amd relatives and yes, we always wanted them to try what we have tried but with the service we get and the mandatory 15% gratuity, I think is not fair on our part. The food was long table for 8 person but we divided the orders and bill into 2 separate, so it'll be 2:6, we placed our order to our lady server (sounds like she is rushing up, because maybe she needed also to attend other tables, I assume) And so just to make the story short, our orders are mixed up and with missing items, no napkins to begin with, ask water couple times while we are in the middle of eating our food. Request for a high chair that we took it ourselves from the side where it sits because we know our lady server were also attending other tables and busy (that's why we understand). And the end of our dinner, upon paying the bill we get this 15% mandatory gratuity fpr the service which is unfair on our part. Spending money from the service that we think we didn't get properly. Only one good thing I'd like to commend were the staff from the kitchen who prepares our dinner. You guys are amazing, the food quality meet my expectations beyond expectations. We will be back and hopefully get a service that is worth of a 15% mandatory gratuity.

I would consider Baekjeong to be a very authentic KBBQ spot, at least by Edmonton standards. The meats are very highly quality and all the banchan (Korean side dishes) were excellent and fresh! If you have a palette that enjoys fermented and umami flavours, this will be your element. The overall aesthetic of the restaurant could be a bit nicer and the service wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t out of this world. I ordered the Baekjeong Combo for 2, and although some reviewers say this place isn’t very filling.. I’d say that if you actually eat everything that comes with the combo, it’s plenty of food. All the meats were delicious and my choice of kimchi-jjigae (soup) was great! I wasn’t such a fan the steamed egg though, I think I’d opt for the corn cheese instead. But I must stay that their kimchi goes crazy, probably the best I’ve had in the city! I will defiantly be revisiting, however, next time I think I’ll hand select my dishes instead of going with a pre-picked combo. Although you save some money going with a combo, I didn’t love everything it comes with, so I felt like I didn’t get my money’s worth. Heads up, Baekjeong is a bit on the pricer side, especially if you are a big meat eater. However, I’d argue you get what you pay for! Considering there is unlimited banchan and the quality of meat served, I believe the price is justified. Overall, this place is authentic and tasty! If you are in the mood for KBBQ I’d totally recommend, but if you are a rookie to the KBBQ scene... I’d maybe suggest you visit with someone who is Korean or someone who is well familiar with KBBQ!

This was amazing! Definitely worth how much money it was! Had the small marinated combo and everything was awesome, you can definitely taste the high quality beef that Baekjong provides! Definitely coming back for my Korean BBQ fill! The service was also exceptional! Ben was the best server, keep it up!!
