Dragonfire Pizza

I had an opportunity to ring in the new year with this unique pizza shop. Their wood fired is great. I called in my order early, asking for a greek pizza, a cheese and pineapple (for someone who clearly wanted to create controversy on New Year...we joked it was half a Hawaiian), and a true white pizza with olives/mushrooms...lite cheese and olive oil. It took me about 20 minutes to get there. The store is in a strip mall. The first thing you see when you walk in is the huge wood fire pizza oven. They only have one type of style: hand stretched. I watched the girl manual manipulate the dough. She did some air work with it. The store has some interesting wooden swords and weapons on the back wall. I saw some arcade games in the back. No one was eating in, but large orders seemed to be fulfilled. Some customer purchased 6 (six) pizzas before me. The pizza was great when I got it home. The next day, I tried it. Still great and warmed up really nice!! Update: Went right before Christmas 2023. Had really unique pizza slice. I had a Yankee pot roast with mash potato pizza. It had a brown sauce. It was good. The other slice was a spinach, cranberry, almond. Washed it down with sasperilla. Really really great.

Kind of expensive but it's really good, way better than anything in Bar Harbor(including Rosalie's), so you should probably just go here instead. Price is like 4/5 , but Quality is 6/5 and service is 5/5. Something to add is they have a pretty generous rewards program, which helps to offset the cost, if that's an issue. 1 large = 2 stamps and 6/12 stamps is a free small/large. Reward programs that actually feel rewarding are becoming harder to find, so that this exists is great. I definitely recommend any of the pizzas here.

The food was great. The regular large cheese was filling and flavorful. The gluten free pizza is very good. It's cauliflower crust which I usually don't like but this one was thin yet seasoned. It was crispy but still had the classic elements of the pizza flop. They have gluten free dessert, peanut butter pie. It's super rich and good. Also, the service is excellent specifically Joe. Joe is very nice!

Hard to find any place serving slices on the weekend. Also, if you can provide a tasty slice, you know their fresh whole pizza will be KILLING it. This slice had the perfect mix of sauce and cheese with a nice chewy crust. Had their double slice of pepperoni and it was delicious. Friendly service, too! Highly recommended if you happen to be traveling through Ellsworth and want to grab a slice made by people who definitely know what they're doing.

Loved the pizza!! Taste was authentic. The place matched the vibe with the food. Well maintained and well decorated. Parking was plenty, enought sitting space, has restroom. Also it had arcade games. Prices were little high, but it's worth the experience. Tried: My big fat Greek dragon Mythic dragon pizza Emerald dragon pizza And one with pineapple and jalapeno minus meat from all No sauce pizza were awesome.. a little bit different taste from traditional pizza. Spinach, feta cheese pizza was little blend but I think it is meant to taste like that. Menu was big, had a lots of started and side items. Crew was helpful. They customized a pizza with special request. Also, they have a app from where you can earn points and use it later. Would definitely visit again sometime to try other pizzas and menu items.
