Tataki Japanese Resturant

Very disappointed with the takeaway sushi. Ordered off the menu for 8 pieces at $14 for each of my 2 kids and was told that would be enough for them as they usually have 3-4 rolls each. Went back to collect and thought there had been a mistake - 4 small rolls altogether for a huge cost of $28! More than double anywhere else, and the quality not amazing either. So disappointed. They offered a refund but I don’t want to hurt their small business, I think they just need to take a good look at their portion sizes and pricing to avoid upset and disappointed customers. Nice staff and a few people dining in so I’m sure the other menu items are fine, just the sushi rolls for takeaway definitely not worth it!

Ordered through uber eats, delivery time kept getting pushed back and back and back. An hour and a half later. Uber eats order cancelled. We call them up and they say our food has been sitting at the restaurant for god knows how long (hot food gone ice cold). No customer service whatsoever to help salvage our Friday night meal. Could’ve taken a two second phone call to less us know uber couldn’t find a driver and that we should come pick up our food. Not only that, when we went to pick up our food. No effort to rectify the situation, literally taking the food away from us because we didn’t want to pay for cold teriyaki chicken. I would give zero stars but google won’t let me.

Poor service, very small serves, uninteresting vegies. Dishes came out one by one even though we were a group. Either be rude and eat when no-one else had food or wait and have cold food. Entrees very slow to come and also came out one by one with quite a wait between them. Had tofu and greens. Cost $18 and consisted of boy choy stems with some leaves, broccoli and about 6 pieces of tofu. Very boring and tasted just OK. Bad after-taste. Very disappointing.

Absolutely fabulous food. Entrees were miso soup, gyoza (pork & vegetable), Yaki tori followed by shared mains of charcoal duck breast, spicy calamari, pork shokayaki, beef teppanyaki and rice...all tender and mouthwateringly delicious. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We were a group of 9 there for a birthday so booked the function room in the back area.
