Miller And Carter

Our server was very attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed. The service was fantastic and the food did not disappoint. I personally had the Miller’s Steakhouse Dirty Burger and it was incredibly indulgent, I did not feel the need to order a dessert. The restaurant is also visually appealing because it has a lot of ambient lighting and the decorations are very nice.

Stu was very good as our waiter. The food we had at lunch was delicious and on point. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re into eating steaks! My starter of chipotle chicken with the dipping sauce was to die for, if I could have eaten this as a main, I would have been in heaven….., but the ribeye steak was still tender and absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. We didn’t have any dessert as we were too full up with our food. Amazing place and staff.

We went to Miller and Carter to celebrate our 5 years anniversary and my partners 30th birthday. We were staying at the Holiday Inn, so we walked across from our room straight to the restaurant. The decor of the restaurant gave a cottagey/pub feel to it, which was nice. Unfortunately, the evening didn't start well as we were placed next to some very loud people who may have had too much to drink. It made it very awkward for us to enjoy the evening as all the tables are placed very close to each other. At one point, one of the very loud gentlemen sat next to my partner very closely and brushed their leg and made them very uncomfortable. Luckily, we were only served drinks whilst they were and eventually left leaving through a fire exit, leaving the place in a state for the poor waiter to clean up after them. The evening improved dramatically after that, especially as we had a bit of banter with the poor waiter who was glad to be rid of those people, in fact the people caused such a problem that the manager for the evening came over and discussed with the waiter that they probably let them come back. Anyway, after that we ordered our food and had a lovely bit of banter with our waiter Neil and he convinced me to go for the chateaubriand as it was a special occasion. I'm glad Neil convinced me. Thank you, Neil. The food arrived relatively quickly and it was quite funny as another server got confused and put the chateaubriand in the middle of the table as they thought we were sharing until another server came behind them with a T bone steak and I said the chateaubriand was just for me! It was the best steak I have ever had. The onion loafs were delicious, the chips were crispy, and of course, I had a ton of bordelaise sauce as that is the best sauce, in my opinion, for steak. We had such a great time tucking into the meal and just sharing such a special moment together. We were stuffed, but we always have room for pudding, especially as Miller and Carter have our favourite desserts. I had a delectable rich banoffee pie, and my partner had a very delicious creamy crème brûlée. We had such a lovely time and great food as we always do and expect from Miller and Carter. We are loyal customers to the brand, and whenever we can't decide where to eat, we always have Miller and Carter to fall back on as a solid dining experience.

Delicious food and Tash the waitress was wonderful, very friendly and timing of food served was excellent , we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and having such a lovely meal finished the day off perfectly and also it was really good value for money . Would definitely recommend and we will definitely visit again .

Me and my boyfriend really love visiting. We spend between £100/£150 each visit and are always super happy with our server. We are lucky enough to always be served by Hayley. She provides the same outstanding level of service to all of the tables in her section and is so personable and genuine. Every time we visit, we hope to have Hayley as our server and so far we’ve had that privilege every time! You don’t find hospitality staff like her very often. An asset to Miller and Carter Exeter. The butchers block is a 10/10 meal and highly recommend adding the Barbacoa Beef Mac and Cheese!

First time eating in any Miller & Carter. 5* experience from beginning to end. Entrance greeting very inviting & friendly. Food presentation was wonderful & food was delicious except for the rump steak. We asked for all meat to be rare, but the rump steak would have probably been better cooked medium rare instead of rare. It was a bit chewy.... But that's our fault, so no points deducted. Ed was absolutely brilliant and made our first experience easy and enjoyable. He also went that little bit further to make our wedding anniversary celebrations more special. Thank you Ed for your wonderful gesture. All in all we had a wonderful meal, in wonderful surroundings, cared for by wonderful people. Thank you. We will definitely return.

We had the most amazing meal today at the Exeter miller and carter with my family. The food was amazing and the service was fab too. Greeted with a very friendly smile and the gentleman who served us was very attentive and polite. Even when we left all the staff said goodbye and have a lovely day. Would definitely recommend and we will certainly be back.
