The Hidden Treasure Tea Room

I love an afternoon tea and squeezed in a visit for a cream tea on a weekend in Exeter, close to our hotel. Very happy we did, the cranberry scones alone are worth sampling. Other customers had the full afternoon tea which looked fantastic. A lovely big pot of tea too. Loved all the little vintage touches including the mood music. Hidden, maybe, but definitely a treasure.

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about this place! The owner is friendly and helpful while always maintaining professionalism. The room itself is beautiful without feeling stuffy or overdone. My friend from Canada was here for a visit and Afternoon Tea was on her list of things to do and I’m so glad we came here. We felt so well taken care of from start to finish. The food and drinks would have me running back even if everything else wasn’t also flawless. It was delicious! I also loved the fact that I paid upfront when I booked our reservation. Saved time and fuss the day of. All around a lovely experience.

Ventured down to have a look and glad we did. Firstly it's only cash (but there's a cash machine close), the place was nicely themed and had a relaxed feel to it and the staff was very friendly.. To our joy it was tea leaves rather then bags, we ordered sandwiches and it was lovely but we saw someone having a high tea and we wished we had that, the cakes looked great
