Sidwell Fish And Chips

I visited last week after a really busy day, I really fancied some fish, and this was the only place open. I was a bit worried about getting fish from a place that served a kebab.. However, i was pleasantly suprised. The man that served me was very friendly and I didn't have to wait long for the food. We ordered a kingsize fish and kingsize chips, battered sausage, mushy peas, and a battered pie. Yep, thats right. A battered pie. The food tasted so good and the fish was cooked beautifully. The only thing i would say, the chips could have been a bit bigger considering the size was kingsize, saying that.. i was comfortably full after and will definitely be returning and would definitely recommend.

When I used to live in Exeter and working quite close by, made it more tempting to get a nice chippy dinner for myself! After a long day at work, it was a nice little treat! Something to fill you up. A reason to not cook after a stressful day in retail. The smell was mouth watering, always a nostalgic smell! Always reminded me of going on holiday and getting chips by the sea. Going to the counter to order, always greeted warmly by the staff! Always really nice chaps, friendly and helpful. My go to was always the large cheesy chips, jumbo battered sausage and a pot of curry sauce. There is tables inside, where you can wait for your food to be prepared. The price was always really good as well. They were always generous in their servings. The chips were some of my favourite in Exeter! The curry sauce was always good as well! The menu was always packed with amazing food! If it wasn't for my go to, I would be stumped for what to choose. Really need to pop in again at some point, really good chips! It's been a good few years now but I can't imagine it has changed too much! I will make a special trip in at some point!
