Country Style Donuts

Finally tried it since it reopened. I'm assuming it's under new owners. 1st try was ok even though I asked for 2 kolaches and I received one regular and one jalapeño. I didn't ask for jalapeño. 2nd try I asked for 2 jalapeño. They're completely different (Pic attached) the smaller one tasted like a bunch of curry in the sausage. I really didn't care for them. The donuts are ok. Miss the old owners. Only giving 3 stars because they have Huge donuts and are friendly.

I used to live closer and this was my go-to donut shop. I've tried many places around Carrollton area and so far and still think this place is the best. I didn't realize how much more of a variety they have compared to others. They are the one place that has kolache in a croissant and jelly filled donut holes and my kids favorite are the sprinkled chocolate donut holes.

I really enjoyed the environment here, it definitely has a southern diner feel and a really cute coffee bar area with stools. The attendants were a little harder to understand than the average donut shop, but they were nice and the point was easy enough to get across. The best thing there is definitely the twists, I highly recommend those. The donuts and cake donuts are average (Unless you LOVE blueberry, because the cake donut is very blueberry not very cake). The kolaches are a little confusing because the bread is AMAZING, but it almost takes away from the kolache itself. If you want a kolache with a focus on great bread, this is the place to go.
