Iron Works Grill

I really enjoyed my meals here (breakfast and dinner). The portions are massive, be warned. My drinks were really good and the service was good. The atmosphere is really nice, with an old library feel to it. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I like that they offer beer and cider flights so you get to try several flavors.

The food was good but the service, though friendly enough, was lacking. They didn't check on us much, though they walked by often and we had to ask for refills of our drinks, which they promised and forgot. I ordered a replacement salad, because I wasn't digging the soup and was promised it would be quick by two different servers and didn't receive it for at least 30 minutes. They apologized profusely, but still, not the best dining experience. They weren't busy enough to warrant the neglect in service.

First time here. This was our first restaurant in Forest Grove... highly disappointed in the service here. The young lady that was our server didn't know any of the questions we asked her about the menu and was not very friendly, kinda snotty. A different server dropped off our food. I asked for some ketchup and mayonnaise for my burger... the ketchup got there successfully but it took multiple tries for them to get mayo to the table. I definitely got ranch one of the times which has dairy. I stated no gluten or dairy for my order and specifically asked for a hamburger, she even clarified without cheese. Still came out with cheese. Told the server and he took it back and they scraped the cheese off then flipped over the burger hoping a wouldn't notice??? My boyfriend liked the taste of his burger and fries which is why I've gotta add on an extra star.

We had the best experience we’ve ever had at a McMenamins restaurant, primarily due to our server, Harrison. It was only his third day on the job, but you’d never know it. We only found out because we complimented him, and he humbly shared. He was professional, accommodating and perfectly attentive. Food was better than we remembered as well!
