Miget's Island Grill

Pretty good, not great. We got the Chicken Teriyaki, Chamorro short ribs and Kalua Pork plate, with an assortment of sides. Mac salad was decent, but we were not given enough teriyaki sauce to add to it. The Pancit was very delicious and unique, I highly recommend trying that. The Lumpia's were like little egg rolls. We tried the original and the banana and both were good. The spicy sauce that came with the short ribs was really good. But the ribs were a little tough and chewy. Servings were on the smaller side, and there was a lack of sauce.

This place is great. I like all the different combinations you can do with their plates (nice balance if you want to add a veg). I really liked the Mac salad and their adobo chicken was good as was the kalua pork and lumpia. Overall a nice place for a quick stop to get some good and reasonably priced food. Staff are also really friendly and provide good service.

Honestly, I hate writing reviews but with rising costs and how much I feel we paid for our food I am appalled at the quality. Half of the chicken was charred to a crisp and not edible. The rice was mushy, the Mac salad was slathered in Mayo with no flavor and the short ribs were over cooked. This is a mediocre college meal at best, I wouldn’t recommend. If I could get a refund I would.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Forest Grove area. ❤️ For the people upset about it not being Hawaiian, just FYI they also serve Chamorro and Filipino food, plus Hawaiian; so they've never claimed to be only Hawaiian. 😜 And their Chamorro food is amazing. The lumpias are great and honestly the best ones I've been able to find in the area... As Filipino restaurants are not very common, even in Hillsboro. 😋
