Northern Dumpling

Service is TERRIBLE! It was a Sunday afternoon, but it wasnt busy in the restaurant. The waiters were chit chatting in the counter. There was a signage asking customer to wait at the front for seated, but nobody came and served us at all, so we had decided to walk in and ask for a table. The lady was rude when we asked for a table, making us feel like we were unwelcomed. After we sat down, the table was only set up for 2 people, but we got 4 people, so we asked for extra cutlery. First, the lady brought 2 extra plates. Then the other 2 persons were left with no spoons and forks. We had to ask again, then she would only bring the spoons and forks. When dishes came, all 4 of us got no bowls, so I had to ask for the bowls again! Then we had to ask for another 2 spoons cuz we weren’t provided any in the beginning. The table wasn’t set up properly at all and there was no customer service. I’m not sure if they were racist or what. All other new walk-in customers (caucasian), they were served normally and got their table set up properly, unfortunately ours wasn’t. When i spoke Chinese to the guy, and he couldnt understand and i have to clarify in English. I thought he might not speak Chinese. But then I heard that he spoke fluent Chinese with the other waiter. It was such an insult to me as I speak Chinese my entire life! Or maybe i should think on a more positive side, maybe he wants to practise English with me so thats why he pretended not to understand Chinese? I found that the waiters were rude to other customers too. Honestly, if they are having a bad day, maybe they should be home and take a rest instead of torturing other customers. We are not here to receive Karen’s kind of service. To be fair, I used to come here before the pandemic, it was all good and normal. Unfortunately i wont be back anymore.

Came with my grandma today around 1304, around 5 other occupied tables other than us and approx counted 15 empty tables. Customer service: 2/5 - male and female staff member. Male ushered us to the seats with no interaction no hello nothing, there were many empty tables around the restaurant, I asked if we could sit near the side where the seats are cushioned and more comfy for my grandma, and I was declined because that table was for a table of 6. SORRY WHAT? You have so many spaces in the restaurant and you won’t let two people sit more comfortably? Also staff wore a dead expression when serving us especially the female staff-I accompanied my grandma because she wanted to eat vegan udon again dish which she had just last week, and is now apparently discontinued ? The female staff confidently said to my grandma they never had this dish even when my grandma said she had it just a week ago. Ordering : 4/5 easy to order on mobile service but not a lot of options and pricing was average Would I come back: not really unless the food tasted godly and Michelin star. Otherwise was quite disgusted at the quality of service.

Extremely rude staff and zero hospitality understanding. I was with my 8 months old baby and the guy made it extremely difficult for me to get in. I am fully vaccinated and requested him to let me in as I was holding my 8 months old And then I can show him the certificate. He was super rude and advices me to leave and also cough on me saying he has COVID now. NEVER EVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE…they don’t deserve to be in hospitality.

This place is so bad it made me want to write a review. The food here is double that of your average dumpling house but it is all pre made microwavable meals that are bland. Despite this still took 20 mins. Poor customer service, wouldn't let me order without speaking over me. They gave us take away without informing us that they have no cutlery. If I had a choice I wouldn't even given one star.

Visited today for the first time and will definitely go back to try different menu items. Found it a little odd that they call themselves a dumpling restaurant but have very few dumplings on offer. We just wanted a quick lunch but the service was very slow considering the few people that were seated. The wait was worth it in the end. The pork and Chinese sauerkraut dumplings were delicious and piping hot. We also tried the beef and onion pancake which was sensational. Staff were friendly and the space is very attractive. Recommended... 😋
