Wendy's

Today, I experienced an extraordinary meal from an unexpected source. To say that the item and it's venue have challenged by preconceptions of fast food is an understatement. It flipped my day around. Not every fast food location can make great fries, but great fries can come from any location. Fort Collins isn't exactly known for great food service and preparation. You can see that in the numerous fast food spots with many 1-star ratings. But this Wendy's is not a part of those. The three employees I interacted with in the drive-thru were all exceptional. The "Have a great day" at the end felt the most genuine and authentic I have heard from any fast food establishment. I only ordered medium fries, but those fries, each and every single one of them, were the freshest fries I have ever had. This location, this team, is deserving of praise, they went above and beyond. The fries were so fresh it made me question if they ever have a fry warmer in there. 12/10.

Placed and paid for mobile order for 3 baked potatoes plus other items and only received one. Called and spoke with Lead/Manager who insisted that I only paid for one baked potato. Drove over 3 miles back to store, she never looked at my iPhone and kept waving her hands and holding a receipt supposedly showing the order was only for one baked potato. When I asked her name, she got belligerent and started using the F word while waving her hands around. Two other employees were watching this and one apologized for her conduct and said that mobile order from their app always has problems. This young woman has no business being in the fast food business and that too a manager or lead. She should not be talking to customers as if they are liars and thieves. I guess with the shortage of people to hire, Wendys has decided they will put up with employees who possess bad customer service skills. Wendy’s is going to lose a 40+ years customer unless they take strong action against this employee and convince me that they do not condone this type of behavior. There are many other burger shops that provide decent service.
