Oh my goodness!!!! The atmosphere here will make you think you are in another country. The food was superb, fresh, tasty and amazing. We had a party of 10 and they had space enough to seat all of us comfortably. The best thing The Flying Carpet is it’s BYOB, yes you read that correctly, you can bring your own bottle. The staff was amazing and the owner came out to meet us. They will see me again for sure.

First time at The Flying Carpet Turkish Cafe. Food was very tasty as you combine the salad, rice, gyro meat, and tzatziki sauce into each bite. Each flavor builds onto the other for a nice balance of flavors. Lentil soup needed a bit of salt but was otherwise a nice starter. Meal also came with fresh, warm pita bread. We will return and bring a nice bottle of wine since they are BYOB.

This was letter 'F' on our ABC restaurant tour. What a quaint Turkish spot in a historical Fairmount house. The owner was actually our waiter this visit and he was very helpful answering all of our questions.
The food was great and authentic and we'll definitely be back!!

Phenomenal experience! We happened to be walking by looking for a place to eat and saw this unique historical home converted into a restaurant. We figured, why not? The interior is an eyeball extravaganza. Rugs, color, patterns, etc. All kinds of fun objects everywhere. The bathroom was one of the coolest and quirkiest bathrooms I've ever been in. I don't think I've ever taken a picture of a public restroom before. Haha
The staff was so attentive. It's a BYOB service so I ran across the street to the liquor store and got a bottle of wine and came back. They were happy to open it. We took a risk and just guessed as to what to order and were pleasantly surprised that we had chosen so well. I've actually been to Turkey and the restaurant had a similar vibe and felt very authentic without being over the top or cheesy.
The bus boy was busting his chops cleaning and running around as they were getting close to closing and we were lagging behind enjoying our wine and conversation. I slipped him a $20 and told him to keep up the great work. He was so gracious and even offered to take our picture for us.
Overall, this was an extremely pleasant experience. We live down the street from it and we can't wait to return.

Love this place! I brought my Turkish brother in law here and he said it was the best Turkish food he’s had in America. The staff was very friendly, food was delicious. I’ve been a couple times and haven’t been disappointed.

Came for the coffee, stayed for the food! Really cool experience in this budding area. It's a very authentic Turkish cafe vibe and I love it! Tried out the falafel and it was 😙👌🏾!! Perfect portions of everything and it wasn't even expensive! The Turkish coffee was nice and strong too! Great for a date night!

This hidden gem in Fort Worth Southside is simply perfect. The ambient lighting, wood panel interior with carpets on display brings you to a peaceful place. After a night at the Modern, viewing David Parks opening show, dinner at The Flying Carpet was a truly magical experience. Thanks to the waitstaff and chef for creating such a special place. We literally felt like we were inside a scene from Aladdin. Great job here.

Absolutely wonderful! A very unique setting, a wooden house look similar to a log cabin, filled with Turkish decor. Romantic. Easy parking, (they have their own parking lot). We went at 8 pm on a Friday and there was no wait. Everything on the menu sounded amazing. The desert list too. The lamb chops were incredible. This place is a must go, at least go for desert and coffee.

Waitress was a treat and very happy to give recommendations. Decor was awesome, and the food was very well spiced.
I went with some Lamb, and then finished up with a Turkish coffee, no sugar. I loved it all and found it to be worth the money, but it was a bit on the pricey side (if only but a few dollars).
Tempted to go here, do it!
