The Brass Tap

I think this is one of my favorite spots for a happy hour. Not only was I very impressed with how cheap my bill came up to, but I had a great time in there. They have games for you to play with your friends and the servers are super friendly. They have a long list of different beer and cocktails for you to choose from. Just in case you like pumpkin, you should try the night out beer.

Went in on a Friday night for happy hour. Don't know why this place wasn't hopping with people. The happy hour is 20% off beers. The beers are reasonably priced to begin with. Tons of beer on tap and tons of bottles to choose from. Had lots of beers that I hadn't tried before like the 1836 Buffalo Bayou brewed in Houston. (very tasty) Also lots of tv's along the wall and lots of good seating. This place is very bar-y, which I liked. It's non smoking. We also had the app of beer cheese and soft pretzels pieces. I was pleasantly surprised that these were pretty good. Although could have used a few more pretzels for the cheese. The bartender was excellent. I asked for a few tastes before deciding on my beer and he was more than happy to oblige. He told me he's all about people liking their beer and that it's important to him that you get something you like. Awesome! One of the guys in our party didn't like his beer after a few sips and the bartender was happy to "exchange" it for something he liked. You can't get any better than that! Maybe this is a late night place or just later than happy hour but it shouldn't be!

Great place for beer selection, small menu but just enough variation for everyone. Had the margarita pizza with pepperoni added on and it was great. Service was with a smile and made me feel welcomed, even one of the owners (Jay) poured me a beer and we talked for a bit. Ron the other owner is a big Badgers fans so if you support the badgers this is a great place for you.
