Great food and reasonable sized portions. Yes it’s expensive and the prices for the sides is absolutely ridiculous. 5.99 for a small bowl of veggies is robbery. I love Dixie House and have been eating here for years . The food is delicious but bit overpriced.

we were there a little late, so the atmosphere was slim. but that worked out great bc we got our wonderful chicken fried steaks in a flash. used to go here for breakfast when they first opened, and it was exceptional. they have phenomenal treats for those w a sweet tooth, as well.

Totally changed my previous review. I was in Dixie house 2 weeks back. Service was good. Ordered late breakfast. When served I had a medical emergency and the servers all came to my side helping me and making sure I was alright. One of the ladies gave me instructions on how to resolve my problems. I had to call emergency service and found the suggestion that I was given was good and proper information. Bless these ladies for making sure I was cared for and that I was safe. I had to go to the ER later that day. I went back today and had lunch. The ladies that cared for me remembered me and we had good conversations. These ladies are awesome. Should be nurses. Wonderful place to be.

Took 3 slices of pies home because I couldn’t decide, they all looked so good! (heavenly, coconut cream pie & chocolate pie. even the whip cream was homemade)

My family and I love Dixie House. We love the servers and their hospitality. We’ve been coming here for many years. I really love to get their deluxe nachos every time. However, next time imma gonna try one of their salads I saw on the menu that I hadn’t seen before.

If you want home cooked food from the convenience of a restaurant then this is where you need to go!! The staff is as magical as the food.. friendly- accommodating- quick service and the food is like mom cooked it!! Great place our whole family is excited to go to knowing they will walk out full and happy like a Sunday morning!! MUST GO!!

Staff was friendly, atmosphere was pleasant. Food was delish...I had chicken fried chicken (4.5 stars) Mac n cheese (3.5 star) twice baked potato (5 stars) spinach (4.5) . My boyfriend had the Mexican burger.. he loved it (5 stars). Onion rigs were flavorful

I went to bed last night already thinking of breakfast. So, a quick search of nearby options and scrolling through reviews, I choose this restaurant. Walking in, it feels warm, like home, the people and staff definitely boosted that initial feeling. Big menu with lots of great options for breakfast. I ordered the Dixie Omelet with a ham slice, and a pancake. A cup of coffee and a glass of tea came quickly. It didn't take too long for the food to arrive and everything looked picture perfect. The Omelet was cooked perfectly and the ham was delicious. Then there was the pancake. I don't like drenching pancakes in syrup or any other toppings very often. I will typically tear a piece off taste the pancake itself. This one, was probably the best I've ever had. Fluffy yet had a light crust, the interior was extremely flavorful, and I finished it without every needing any condiments. Or utensils. Great breakfast!
