Corner Bakery Cafe

This was my first time at this location. The Corner Bakery downtown is being renovated. The food was the same high quality that I am used to. This location has the electrical outlets for your phone or laptop that I wished were available downtown. The servers would not come and take away the plates unless we left. I got tired of looking at the empty plates and took them to the kitchen myself.

My daughter and I love Corner Bakery. However, I was a bit disappointed today. I went in for a quick to go and ordered my daughters usual, pasta with marinara sauce, and today it didn't have sauce and the pasta was over cooked. I'm so anti returning food even if it's wrong so we still brought it home. I'm hoping it doesn't happen again since this place is one of our favorites.

The food is always decent here (I have been 3 times and always get the "commuter"). I am a vegetarian so my only complaint is that they do not have more vegetarian options. I also love fruit but do not like the fruit options here and do not think they are very fresh (when I asked one of the staff what fruit they had, she showed me and stated that it was cut up the night before). The staff is always nice and friendly and the restaurant is normally very clean (except maybe a table or two that haven't been bussed). Services is fast so that is a plus too.

I've tried several things on the menu. Everything I have tried has been very good. My favorite dish is Chicken Carbonara! My wife's favorite is the Club Panini. Always clean, always a nice atmosphere and the service is excellent. During pleasent weather they have a nice patio area if you so choose also.
