That Hummus Place

My husband and I finally tried this place today; it'd been highly recommended by friends and we can see why. The owner is personable and kind and the food was fresh, authentic, and delicious. When you go, be sure to try the baklava! It was perfect! Not too sweet or syrupy. We enjoyed eating in and will definitely be back.

No frills location and small but the two items we got were great. We got the Mediterranean with spicy sauce and one of the salads. Plus the owner talked me into his homemade rice pudding. Very tasty and cooled down the heat in the sandwich. For drinks we reached for sodas but he also talked us into some authentic drinks he makes. One was a hybiscus type and the other a lemonade like drink and both were refreshing. The best part was just talking to the owner as he was very nice. It's a small place, only a little bit of sitting space in a corner and a few chairs along front window so don't show up with a huge crowd expecting lots of seating but do show up hungry.... The menu looks tasty and we'll be back to try other items. Heading into old town it's before the canal but an easy walk from the church street garage or other parking places. Plus you can check out stores or bars on the way back.

This little shop has fantastic food! Their falafel sandwich is the best out of any restaurant in Frederick. Also amazing are their sweet potato fries, rice and the coconut drink. Haven't tried anything else yet, but I'm sure everything is good if it's like the foods I have tried. Great customer service, great prices. Love this place.

We placed our order at 6:52pm, and didn't receive a salad, falafel sandwich until 8:02pm. Hey, things get busy even on a Thursday night. It wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the fact we called twice, had to remind them of the actual order and then hung up on when we called back. The food arrived cold & we were not even 5 minutes away. They've received great reviews so I'm guessing dining there is a much better experience. Just don't order delivery! The owner or whoever answered the phone was rude. Definitely won't recommend.

Humus was mealy, not enough oil or tahini, no enough flavor. Gyro meat was cut very thick, and so had a poor texture when compared with thinner cuts that have a crisp outside. Tzatziki was watery. Fries were forgettable. Not a very clean place. Food handler left the restaurant mid prep to go retrieve something from storage. Manager complained about other customers directly to me. Hard pass for $19

Oh man I don't know what happened cuz they're normally really good but the food I got today was totally bland and didn't taste fresh. The fries were cold and almost raw and the hummus just tasted like nothing. I had to dip my felafel sandwich in Ketchup so it could taste better. And I spent 25 dollars for two sandwiches, fries, hummus and pita. Super expensive for what I got. I'm not mad, just disappointed. :-(
