Olde Town Tavern

The best thing I can say about Olde Towne Tavern is that it's open late. We were trying to grab a bite to eat around 9pm, and many of the restaurants in Frederick have new Covid hours, meaning they close earlier than usual. A quick Google search showed Olde Towne Tavern was open till 1am. The bar wasn't very crowded, as it was a Tuesday night, but it still took a while to get the attention of the bartender. We ordered a beer and a cocktail, and asked for a menu, before getting a table outside. It was all a little confusing as to whether we needed to order at the bar, or if a server would help us. Finally a server did come to take our order. We got a small cheese pizza, crab dip, and curly fries. The food was not good. The pizza was soggy and greasy, and the crab dip didn't seem to have any discernable crab in it, plus it smelled very fishy. Bottom line, if you're looking for a late night place to grab a drink, Olde Towne Tavern definitely works, but if you're looking for food, I would not recommend this place.

My favorite hole in the wall bar and tavern. Great service, cheap prices, and great food. Some of the bar tenders have been there as long as I have been drinking! Over 20 years! Great local bar. You looking for women, cheap booze, or a good time this is your place. Really good food and cheap specials too.

This was well light and not too loud, even late at night. Coworkers and I went after work (after midnight) got a drink, chatted and it was fine. Bar keep poured reasonable portions, quick to make drinks and friendly. The decor was kinda bland, but overall it was pretty good and worked for an after work drink. This will likely be our go-to in future for late night, just got out of work, drinks with coworkers.

A fantastic place for simple bar fair. The menu isn't particularly expansive, but there's something there to please just about anyone who would be looking for bar food. What they do have is fantastic and inexpensive. Further, the happy hour and daily specials make things an even better deal. And for the cherry on top, you can get packs of cigarettes and pull tabs at the bar.
