Sammy T's Restaurant

This is definitely where are the locals go and with reason. Dedicated in loving memory to the previous owner it’s is cozy and has that bustling old town personality. There is food for everyone AND especially the health conscious. But don’t worry everything is super tasty. For lunch I had the Moroccan salad and corn bread (to die for). Decided I am coming for dinner too ! I am traveling through VA on a me-cation

We’ve been going to this restaurant for years and always head here first for lunch. We love the friendly atmosphere and delicious food! Several menu items are healthier vegetarian or vegan choices. In addition to sharing a delicious appetizer of black bean nachos with grilled chicken, I had an avocado sandwich with horseradish sauce, cheese and a few other vegetables. I confess we also had some desert, so today was my keto cheat day. It was worth it!

This place has some great falafel and the Rueben sandwich was excellent! The falafel was perfectly fried and well spiced while the Rueben was almost sweet and delicious. Each dish was very well crafted, even the house chips were perfectly crispy and flavorful! We will definitely be returning some day and we appreciate the diverse menu to accommodate all dietary restrictions!

Excellent food as always! Service is speedy and professional and Sammy's always has such a diverse spread of menu items. Portions are generous and prices fair. Theres a little something for everyone and meat doesn't have to be the focus or included at all. The smoked bbq tofu special for restaurant week is superb and the Mediterranean platter is tasty and one of our favorite leftovers ;)

This was my first time in Sammy T's. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the entire experience!!! We sat at the bar area and our server was very attentive. He had the perfect timing with checking on us, not overly in our faces but also we were aware that he was there for us. He was GREAT! Another wonderful feature at Sammy T's is that they actually have Vegan options available and it's not just a salad or one/two things!!! I haven't eaten out in years and I really enjoyed this outing. The food was amazing!! Sammy Ts is more than meets the eye. There seems to be the idea that Sammy Ts ONLY has vegan and vegetarian options. Instead I found that they have a diverse menu with a mix of cuisines but all done exceptionally well. We started with cocktails and Jess at the bar was excellent. The lavender fizz is amazing. We had the crab dip as an app and it was just perfect. My friend had the Mediterranean shrimp and couscous. There was something beautiful about the flavors of sundried tomato, olive, wine and butter with shrimp and couscous. I had a special which was a spicy pork with somen noodles, vegetables and a broth. It was delicious. The watermelon radish on top cooled down the pork and the broth was amazing . If I could give more stars I would. 10/10 will definitely eat there again!!
