Paul's Bakery

Coming from up north in new england where we have so many great mom and pop bakeries and donut shops, i have to say Paul's bakery makes the best donuts that ive tried out of anywhere in VA from fredericksburg to northern. I wish they made an old fashioned chocolate glazed but all the other donuts are on point.

This place has been my childhood favorite for doughnuts, but the last 2 times have been outright ridiculous..... period, never have I ever seen such a unfriendly staff, they are rude, especially at answering questions, but the last 2 times I went there, one Saturday at 12 noon and then today, Friday morning at 10a.m. and both times there were hardly any doughnuts left???? They are open until 2, not everyone gets up at 5:30a.m. and can get there. This is poor bad bad business period. The lady says we make them in the morning for the day, I was like well looks like you need to make more, no choices for nothing. Needless to say, sorry but I'm done with Paul's bakery, not getting anymore of my money or business. Good bye and good riddance!!

Pauls has the most delicious donuts I have ever had the pleasure of eating! Their donut holes are perfectly soft little bites of heaven with a pop of jelly inside. The cake donuts are satisfying to the sweet tooth without being super sweet. Their chocolate icing is so delicious, I could swim in it. Their cakes are equally as delectable! Don't walk, run to Paul's for the best bakery around!

One of the best donuts and brownies I have had! We ordered online and chose to have them delivered. I wished the website allowed us to tip online, so that it would be safer for both the customers and delivery person. Today our delivery person waited for us to pick up our donuts from her, but we waited inside and told her that we'd prefer contactless delivery. This means that she would pick up the tip that we put in front of our door. It took her some time, but she eventually got it. Great customer service and on-time delivery!

First time visiting and I can’t wait to come back! Awesome customer service and fantastic donuts! I mentioned it was my first time in the store and they gave me a free glazed donut...then explained about a previous bakery mishap with a birthday cake at a different bakery in town and the ladies were super sweet and gave me a free slice of cake to try at home.
