Had the opportunity to try The Falafel Joint today for lunch and honestly it was better than I expected. The atmosphere has a cool vibe to it, smaller Than I though with a few tables and some counter seating. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich combo ($10.00 came with fries and a drink) and it was very good. The pita bread was toasted but still soft. I added items from the topping bar to help top the sandwich off. I also bought a side of falafel which were good but not the best I had. Seems like they were missing something, maybe seasoning and the extra crunch but they were good. Topping bar was nice addition and had a lot of choices for everyone and included pickles, salad, hummus, cucumber salad, different sauces to name a few items. Service was hospitable and they seemed to know most of there customers as they walked in. Nice addition to Fredericksburg. Definitely will be back.

I was not disappointed in my first visit. It was pretty crowded when I came for lunch and since it's not the biggest establishment I decided to take my food to go. The young gentleman working was very thorough explaining the menu and how the condiments worked (there's a mini buffet style with a lot of variety). Overall for the price I paid for the combo, I was not disappointed.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for dinner last week. We love falafel and shawarma so were very excited to try The Joint. This is a small restaurant with a cool jamaican vibe to it. We ordered a falafel sandwich and a shawarma sandwich with fries. They have have a self serve topping bar. The food was good but not fantastic. We've had better. But it was still an enjoyable experience. The staff was very friendly. They have local beer which is nice. We will be back.

Typically, I wait a few months before trying a new restaurant just so all the kinks are worked out, but this time I couldn't resist. Seriously, a falafel joint in the back of Sugar Shack? Sign me up.
I had the falafel sandwich combo. Super delicious. Fresh pita and awesome fixings. The French fries were crispy and just the right amount so that I didn't hate myself after eating both the sandwich and fries.
The parking is limited and so is the seating, but it's totally worth it.
Excellent addition to our growing restaurant community in the city.

Small, friendly and good food/drink. Great location to/from downtown F'burg. Shares building with Sugar Shack so to each their own if you have hard to please family members.

We stopped by around midnight on our way to Richmond from Baltimore. Found this place thanks to the Happy Cow app. Yay for vegan options! Everything was super tasty and the staff was helpful.

Wow, the falafel and chicken shwarma were amazing. I highly recommend this place for a delicious break from bbq and wacdonalds. Best part is the donut yumms in the end ;D

Oh my! Tonight was the first time my husband and I have eaten at The Joint. I’m sorry we waited so long. What a great little place. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. We shared falafel and shawarma. The sauces complimented the sandwiches perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful. We’ve found another favorite place to eat in The Burg. I hope they’re around for a long long time.
