Highly recommended to me so we gave it a shot. Wasn't bad, we got the loaded baked potatoes and a side of ribs. The potato with brisket was absolutely delicious. The ribs were a little dry and the sauce was a little thin and runny. But both did seem to have a nice flavor. Atmosphere was nice especially outside where there were tables and lighting under the trees. My biggest concern would be having to wait in the line to get my food ordered and served. However, if I am in the area again I will stop back by.

The place I really wanted to try closed early so this was my next choice.
I had the 3 meat plate, moist brisket, sausage, and ribs, potato salad and cream corn.
They cut me the back end of the slab of ribs so they were kinda tough, I didn't finish them.
The brisket was good and so was the sausage.
They didn't offer a 2 meat plate that offers chicken because as they said, they serve you a half chicken.
We ordered the chicken which was tasty.
It was ok, until the next one.
My search continues.

Their food is so good that we ate here two days in a row and I didn't even take pictures of the food. It was all scarfed down as soon as it hit the table. All their food is good, all of it. Make sure to ask for them beans, them beans are delicious and free. Its not that far from the main rd and it's tucked away in a small wooded area. Very nice, clean, restaurant including the restrooms. Gata try this place out!

Boy this place is crowded during lunch break. Food is very delicious but not like the best I have tasted. Lots of seatings so it is great for friends or parties. Price is a bit high but I guess it is normal now. Will revisit if I have a chance.

You know it’s good food when you are in line for a long time. Backwoods BBQ didn’t disappoint! I took my clients here to introduce them to a Texas BBQ, they’re from Hawaii. We all enjoyed the food and the fixins! You can taste the seasoning and it has great Smokey flavor. They offer all kinds of meat.

Read the reviews and alot of them said it was ok and that's how I kind of feel. Ordering process was easy and got our food quick. Chose the three meat combo plate with two sides. Pork loin was good and moist. Smoked sausage had a good flavor. The brisket lacked on tenderness and was overcooked but not terrible by any means. Liked their sauce and would definitely go there again.

It was okay, we were kinda disappointed. Local business recommended them but my local place in Alvarado is WAY better.
Really nice place, outdoor eating, inside nice. Just not BBQ worth writing home about

Brisket had a light smoky flavor - more than most places. Beans were excellent! Everything else was OK.
