Taqueria Las Vegas

I’ve hit this place twice. The first time was when I first moved to Fremont. The food was pedestrian at best. I year or so later I gave it another try (on someone else’s dime). It was just as bad as before (can’t even remember what I ordered). Usually a Mexican place can keep my attention with at least a good, spicy salsa, however; this place doesn’t even have that going for them. My recommendation is to skip this place if you have even the slightest idea how Mexican food is supposed to taste.

I ordered the super burrito and it was pleasantly delightful. It was about a pound, maybe a little more. The meat, carne asada, was cooked well, juicy not dry. They used spanish rice with green peas, which was a first for me, yet still appetizing. The avocado was mashed so I'm not sure if it was cut fresh or premade. They had an option of two sauces, green or red. The green was on the acidic side which worked well with the burrito, the red was way to spicy for my taste but had good flavor if your into spicey foods. The chips generic tostidos round corn tortilla just transferred into a house bag. I would come again.
