Me-n-ed's Pizzeria

I have been ordering from them for years and the Pizza is almost always up to par with my expectations for quality and timely delivery. The pepperoni an sausage pizza and am order of buffalo wings are a typical order to my house and I am satisfied 99% of the time. The buffalo wings are very good and meaty. I will be a regular customer as long as they keep the consistency up with what I like.

Given this particular Me n Eds a handful of chances because it's so close by and convenient. Time after time we are disappointed. Everything about this location is sub par I.e. the pizza, customer service, cleanliness behind the countertop, cost to quality ratio. When it comes to the pizza, it's usually very dry and seems like it's been sitting for way too long. The ingredients are usually lacking too. When I could spend just as much at Round Table and receive so much more in terms of quality and ingredients, why would I go here? We actually prefer Papa Murphy's by leaps and bounds. As for customer service, it just seems off every time we go into the store. The employees seem like they really don't want to be there and don't care about the customers or the pizza being made. And you can visually tell by how dirty it is near the cooking area. They're also weird about coupons for some reason. Would I eat the pizza if someone else bought it? Sure. But I won't be spending any more of my money.

I'm more or less forced to go here every week for a social group meeting. I really don't like it much. The pizza is odd - the components of greatness are present, including a nicely spicy sauce, but poor cooking often wrecks it. The pizza is often covered with burnt crumbs - I suppose from previous pizzas, but who knows - which wrecks it. When I have my usual pepperoni it's okay, but oft burned on the rim, this inconsistent cooking increases exponentially with more toppings. I've never had illness problems, but I've seen roaches skittering around a few times, and gotten some mold in my iced tea, so I believe some of the other poor reviews. Maybe I'm too harsh, maybe I'm just an east coast-y pizza snob, but there's other options in the neighborhood that, for my money and tongue, are much better.

I went on a Sunday and I'm not sure if they were swamped with phone-in orders or what but it was a good 5 minutes before I was even spoken to after I sat down at the bar area. The server couldn't even come up to me and take my order. I'm not saying I need conversation but it's just good service to not make the customer bark the order across the room. Also, as soon as I order the entree and beer the receipt was given so they didn't want me to buy another beer that I was probably going to get. So, service wasn't very good that night. The food on the other hand was tasty. I had the combo calzone. Which was a little greasy but that's OK with me if they would have served it on a thicker plate that maybe wasn't paper. I wasn't expecting fine china but thick enough to hold up after the grease from the calzone soaked in. Great food they had a few beers on tap and standard bottle selection with a couple big screen TVs to watch and a couple console games in the corner. Maybe I just caught them on a bad night.
