Spice Palate

We have been ordering from Spice Palate for last 2 years, but the quality has reduced ever so much, the Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani used to be good, juicy chicken pieces and very tasty, but for last 6 months not sure if management has changed or chef changed, it is tasteless, dry rice into which chicken pieces are put, no spice (masala) mix... Other items such as Paneer items or Bajji also quality has gone down a lot. Sad to see my favorite food spot going bad. I strongly advice food patrons avoid this place if you are looking for good tasty food.

Very tasty food. Veg Hakka Noodles are my favorite. I tried almost everything. Everything tastes good. Staff is friendly. 4 stars because sometimes their service is little slow, then expected, despite you order way earlier. TIP TO CUSTOMERS - Please order things earlier and not at the nick of the moment. The taste of their items is good.

Good place for freshly made south indian snacks and bajji. Dont order biryanis or curries. I literally saw them pull stuff out of the freezer, put it into a takeaway bowl and microwave it and serve it. None of it is freshly prepared. I can understand if base ingredients are precooked. That was not the case. It is as if you are buying frozen stuff. Also most times manned by 1 person who is also the chef so expect delays.

These items are tempting but look away and save your self some money. Here is my complete story if you want to hear/have time to read. I always see a trend when a NEW Indian restaurant/food counter is started. When its new, quality is good , customer service is good. Then there will be lot of customers and Over a period of time once they have gained momentum, quality slowly deteriorates and same with customer service. Spice palate is no different. Mirchi Bajji : They are thick and tasteless and oily. Looks like they added lot of baking soda to the besan batter. Pakodi: Same thing. They are thick, tasteless and oily. Mysore Bajji: They are supposed to be soft. I am from Hyderabad and I know exactly how they taste. They are so hard and oily. The only exception to this is Pani Puri. Atleast they maintain consistence in this only item. Two things might have happened. Either the people who are cooking this are not TRAINED properly or they are no PAID properly or they keep changing people to make profits more and more. I spend 25$ today but only 10$ is worth because that 10$ I spend on Pani Puri.

This place is not worth your time or money. I ordered a 4 inch tray of chicken noodles for $66 and they gave me a tray of veggie noodles. I waited another 20 minutes so that they could make chicken noodles. When I went back home, I realized the tray size was 2 inches and not 4. Although there was a lot of problems, the food quality is decent.

I personally feel this is one of the best restaurant. The vijaywada biryani was very authentic & taste was daaaaamn good. I have tried vijaywada biryani in many states and in many places but i never ever felt traditional flavor of vij-biryani. Their service is damn good and you guys made my best SFO days with your food. I recommend this place to everyone who wants to taste traditional vijaywada biryani . My heartily thanks for you guys for serving pure and authentic food.
