Mel’s Diner has been such an amazing experience. The aesthetic inspired by the typical American restaurants of the 50's is totally achieved, for a moment you forget that you are on a Swedish island in the middle of the Baltic. The quality-price ratio is wonderful considering that you are in Sweden, 95 crowns for a burger with fries and a soft drink. The hamburger was spectacular and delicious.

By far the best bang for the buck burgers in Sweden. Cheaper than McDonalds and the quality is about the same as many of the hipster burger places.
I’ve eaten here several times and never been disappointed.
Freshly made burgers with good topping and sauces, served in a classic US diner atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff.

I tried this restaurant's hamburger previously via Foodora, but it was cold, so I waited to rate it..After trying the meal (grass feed +halloumi) inside the restaurant, the flavor and impression were the same! Well the bread was fresh, the hamburger was cooked perfectlly but lacking in flavor! The sauce inside was also lacking flavor .. The fried potatoes were dry (due to being heated several times) or perhaps because it was fried on a high temperature! And the onion rings were just ok!

Also the 50 style furniture also gives the place a colourful environment.
Highly recommended going there for lunch or an early dinner.

Definitely took care of any homesickness I had.
Hade a Rouk 66 burger, onions were caramelized well, burger a perfect medium well (seasoned just right). My kids had milkshakes and commented, repeatedly, how nice it was to have a REAL shake. Fries & Cheese sticks were excellent.
Why can't this be in Germany??? Thanks to the awesome staff for a great Lunch/Dinner!!

Fair prices and quick service. Burgers are tasty, all the sides are decent and the place has more charm than the entire rest of the neighborhood. One star off because the drinks were not chilled, otherwise great experience.
