Baker's Ribs

I cannot wait to go back! For some serious BBQ, best in Dallas area, come to Baker's Ribs - Garland! Mouth watering and melting, fall off the bone ribs. Brisket is superb and seasoned perfectly. The sides! Don't forget the sides! And you must, must, try the fried pie. I was in heaven. They have several pie flavors to choose from.

It pains me to write this review. I have always loved this place and remember when they first opened. They have always been consistent. What a disappointment this time. I should have left when I saw the guy behind the counter (kitchen) take of his cap and passionately scratch his head. I thought "well that's gross." Instead, I decided to see how he handled the food. He slipped on a glove and pulled out the cutting knife never touching the meat-- I was relieved! It had been awhile since I have visited, so I didn't realize they were now selling dry, hard, old ribs that were not even consumable. I am prayerful this was just an off day on the food (12/20). Please work on training your staff on food handling skills. Scratching your head or doing anything with hair behind the counter is not acceptable.

Went to Baker’s Ribs for the first time today, and it was nothing short of amazing. My boyfriend got the rib basket and said by far some of the best ribs he has ever ate, fell right off the bone and juicy. I got the pulled pork sandwich and same, was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back! Next on the list is to try the fried pies!

They're ok, but I really miss the Grapevine location. They had brisket burgers and a nice ambiance. It had been remodeled and set up like a sportsbar. It unfortunately burned down a few years or so ago. Seemed they were the best and cleaner looking, more professional, and sides looked way more appealing. This place, the sides always look hum-drum, old, dried out. Eben the brisket it not always tasty and is dry at times. Seems to be ok to older, Caucasian folks.

Usually I don't post but this experience was just bad. No one else waiting, girl gets attitude when asked couple questions about the options on family pack. She rudely sighs. I let it go. Then guy handling the food digs in his nose talking to coworkers and never washed. I should have cancelled then but I was tired and craving bbq. To continue, sighing girl has long pointed nails and drops condiment on the floor, takes a long time to pick it up, then drops it in my bag without any concerns. Nasty and disrespectful. Girl taking my $ has bad attitude but looking for tip on my receipt. Are you serious? I'm a tipper but this time, Nope! To top it off the ribs were dry and tasteless, the beans were scorched and the rolls were hard. Please reevaluate and improve behaviors. Your customers deserve better.
