Sonic Drive-in

Hate to say it but this time everything was let's say below their standards. The nuggets were hard hard hard. Ordered honey barbecue and got I don't know what. We also ordered a hamburger with hickory sauce, ok well to say the least when you took a bit sauce ran out everywhere, (more sauce than meat) not the best experience.

Sonic is known for their slushes so why has their slush machine been broke for like weeks?? That would seem like a priority to get fixed for a place like sonic where drinks are the specialty. The staff is always really nice and friendly and it’s obviously not their fault they’re without working machines.

TL;DR sonic supposedly opens at 8am but no one was there 30 minutes after opening. i placed an online order this morning 3/13/22 at 8:15am, showed up at 8:25am. checked in on the app and noticed lights were off in the building but the drive-up computers were on and the app was functioning normally. after about two or three minutes no one brought out my order which was unusual considering it was just a drink and shouldn’t take that long, so i went through the drive thru. no one answered even after i said “hello” three times. my drink was only $1 and i was late to work so i just left. i should’ve known something was up because when i first got there, a car was at the speaker and drove off instead of pulling up to the pickup area. something similar happened last week when i ordered food and when i showed up at 8:30, they said the kitchen was not ready yet which is completely unacceptable. sonic opens at 8:00am so kitchen prep should start at least by 7:30am. not sure if the opening people didn’t show up or what but i’m telling you if someone doesn’t get this under control, you’re gonna lose a lot of business including me. whether this is a management or cooperate thing or whatever, someone needs to fix this. if not i’ll happily drive the extra few miles to the sachse location and i’m sure others will do the same.

I recieved an email about 1/2 price shakes for June 16th only so naturally I figured why not load the kiddos up and we all go enjoy a shake. There was no line at the time we arrived, I was able to place our order rather quickly. The reason why this is not receiving a glamorous 5 stars is due to the lack of communication between the car hops and delivering my shakes in a timely manner. Shakes are ice cream and it doesn't take rocket science to know that in 100+ heat ice cream will melt, so I am sure you all that are reading this can guess why I'm livid. Yes, our shakes were melted. Keep in mind that I said it was 100+ according to my heat index on my car and clearly we waited mong enough to be served subpar shakes. I left, dissatisfied and having to hear the dreaded complaints from my smaller co-pilots. Lesson learned.

I like Sonic but this place I hate. I've been here 3 times in the last month and all I can say is that everyone here should be fired. Slow, bad service, rude staff, bad/cold food. It is the worst when I come here which sucks because I really like Sonic. I just don't like being given a bad experience when I'm already paying y'all for food. Not coming back to this Sonic for sure.
