Jashn On Pako

I have ordered from this restaurant several times. I have noticed a decline in quality. Tonight the butter chicken was overly sweet had very little chicken and was only 1/2 full. The Nanns were too thick and doughy. The Beef Vindeloo was awful. With so many Indian restaurants in Geelong don't wast your money here.

The Beef Madras and Bollywood chicken were both really nice, as was the Onion Bhaji and the gorgeous Tamarind sauce that accompanied it. The Smashed Samosa Chaat was unfortunately a little hard to eat. The sauces had soaked through the Samosas making them really mushy instead of crispy. It would have been nicer had the Tamarind Sauce and the Mint Sauce with vegetables been in their own seperate bowls. The reason I won't be back is because the restaurant was FILTHY. There were hundreds of dead gnats and cobwebs in the window sill. The floor was very dirty and there was even some old food stick stuck to our table. Everything was dusty and the windows appeared as though they'd been cleaned with a dirty rag. This honestly made me worry about the cleanliness of the kitchen. The music also continued to cut out throughout our meal. Also the decor was very old fashioned and could do with a more modern revamp. On a positive note the waitress was very nice :)

We went to Jashn for the first time tonight and had a good time. Food was good and service fine . Prices are reasonable. There is a good range of vegetation and non veg options. I read a few of the negative reviews but our meal was not a long wait and the waitress checked in a few times too see if we needed anything.

Good food ruined by shocking service. Not rude or anything but simply had no idea what they were doing or how to serve a table. Ended up with one drink order, and not asked again all night if we wanted another drink..had to continually replace our own water, clear our own dishes, and wait 15 mins post the main arriving for the rice to catch up. Maybe take away would be a better option...

This used to be one of my favorite Indian restaurants, before they changed the menu and removed some of the best veggie dishes. Portions r small and pricey. Opening times listed on google maps were inaccurate and they wouldn’t make the change. The waitress serving us tonight was brusque and impatient, I remember the waitress serving before the change was nicer. Said that it was ridiculous that they had ‘too much on their old menu’. It’s those stuff that made this place worth going to. Not going back there again.
