• chilli scram • avo and feta smash w bacon • benedict bagel • nutella waffles • date + maple oat porridge Located down the river end of Pakington Street, you will hear Blank Space before you see it. We visited on a Saturday morning, greeted by a full house, loud music and several staff walking past us for a solid 8 minutes before being acknowledged. However, once seated, service was prompt, efficient and friendly. As a creature of habit, I tend to always order chilli scram at brekkie so it’s fair to say I’ve had my fair share. I was disappointed that, on this occasion, it did not pass the flavour check. Without the green chilli jam, it would’ve been tasteless. However I was pleasantly surprised that the jam did deliver a touch of heat. The waffle was hard and still didn’t soften under the melting ice cream but if you’re a sweet tooth, anything covered in nutella and strawberries can somehow be forgiven. The porridge was mainly granola and very dry. The other 2 meals are house standards at most cafes and like most cafes, they’re hard to get wrong. Nothing to rave home about, nothing to complain about. However, I did like the paprika hollandaise on the benedict bagel. Blank Space offers various bottomless options and the loud music definitely sets the vibe if that’s what you’re going there for. We tried a few cocktails and they were all great! If a quiet, chill brekkie is what you’re after, Blank Space is not the place for you. It is loud and it is busy! 🍽 DISH OF THE DAY: Apple Sour cocktail. Unfortunately none of the dishes were a hit for me.

The name and mural at the front could have one thinking this is a Taylor Swift themed cafe, but we didn't hear a single Swift song during our visit. Not only that, but the music was so loud, it was hard to hear company at times. I had the buttermilk chicken burger. The bun was burnt and the chicken had barely any breading, and the breading it did have wasn't crispy at all. Similarly, some of the fried were good, but many seemed undercooked. The coffee was good

Been here a couple of times now but front of house let the kitchen down both times. Food has always been delicious!! Coffee has arrived after a long wait and cold both times. It’s hard to get the servers attention and agree music is so loud… Each time have had to ask for the correct number of cutlery, Mothers Day service was the worst. They forgot 2 cocktails then no apology and only $10 off tab… won’t be back
