The Lantern

This is my favourite Chinese takeaway in Bearsden. The food is always freshly made and tasty. I've never found the delivery driver to be anything other than polite and courteous, not to mention how good a driver he is. Unlike some of the local postal staff who's service is rude, with packages left all over the place and notes taken out of birthday cards (I've asked people to stop sending them) Anyway I digress. Thankfully our local Chinese takeaway The Lantern is a beacon of light in our area and can be relied upon. The wife and kids are usually up at the window waiting for his red car to safely park up and excitedly run to the door to greet the man who will bring us our Chinese feast. They call him Uncle. I haven't the heart to tell them yet, perhaps when they're old enough to understand that their real uncle never visits us. Anyway, would recommend this place (5 stars doesn't do it justice) and not listen to other reviews. They sound made up!
