Blue Lagoon Fish & Chips (argyle Street)

Despite some bad reviews, we decided to give it a go as it looked quite nice. They had an option for halal fish which they fried fresh in separate oil which was fantastic. The restaurant ambiance was lovely and the service was great too. Thought it was reasonably priced. The fish was fantastic, very light batter, not too greasy. Only thing that could be improved was the bread they offered was literally a slice of bread, would’ve expected a bread roll but not sure if that’s traditional. All in all was a great experience. Will definitely be visiting again!

The Blue Lagoon Fish & Chips in Argyle Street is an iconic fish and chips restaurant that serves high-quality food. I liked that there was the option of either taking the food out or eating inside. The tables were very clean and I've not had anything that matches the flavour of what Blue Lagoon offers. It is right next door to Glasgow Central Station and it's easy to get to through the downstairs section where the trains serve the Lanarkshire area. I've visited this place a few times and I've always been impressed. It does get a bit cold now and again but it's a lovely place to go to.

I’ve been visiting this restaurant for a few years now with friends, it is absolutely amazing! The food is so delicious that today I managed to finish my sausages within five minutes! The staff are friendly, the decorations and designs are beautiful, and the service is competent and patient. Overall, I give this restraint a ten out of ten, and recommend that people atleast visit the restraint once if they get the chance!

Great place to eat proper, chip shop food. Love the rumble of the trains to add to the atmosphere! My husband and I have visited on a number of occasions when back in Glasgow to visit family and food has been excellent every time! Today, we thoroughly enjoyed our haggis and pudding suppers and the great service from Amy just topped everything off! We will be back! Thank you and well done to all the team.

Great customer service and I liked the ambience of the resto. The Mozzarella bites were much better than the fish and chips and I would recommend trying different food items rather than just going for fish and chips which I didn't like that much. They have different rates for sitting-in and takeaway. The customer service is great and the washrooms were super clean. Thanks again for the good service.

Busy Sunday night and they were able to seat us pretty much immediately after a quick clean down of the table. Despite serving an active restaurant as well as a take out stand with only 3 employees, they did great. Everything arrived fairly quick, all the food was hot and fresh and no complaints. Yvonne was amazing and kept everything going smoothly. Huge props to her for making it an enjoyable last minute stop.
