Cookoos Chicken Clarkston

Amongst the best fried chicken places in Glasgow I tried Cookoos Clarkston the first time today. I was a bit sceptical due to a previous reviewer who has put photos of uncooked fried chicken in their review. However I can state that there is nothing to be worried with - the chicken is cooked perfectly exactly how it should be. To my surprise the owner is the same person who used to run Popeyes next door, I recognised him as soon as I entered the shop. I did ask him about the reviewer who left the bad review with photos of uncooked chicken. The owner advised me that the review had been left by one of his competitors in the area to give him a bad name. He then showed me the chicken fryers and how they are timed each time with internal temperature measurements (like proper fried chicken places have) and therefore the chicken will always be cooked to the appropriate levels and is taken out only when ready. All the pieces in my chicken bucket were correctly cooked through and moist. The spicy wings were tasty as well. Prior to this I have had halal fried chicken in Glasgow from Rajas, Chunky Chicken, The Chicken Place, Chicken Cottage, Chicken Choice takeaway, and can safely say that Cookoos is the better one amongst all of these! Like me, those who abstained from going to Cookoos based on that review - please don't be.
