Uprising Glasgow Ltd

I've tried many "jamaican" places in Glasgow over the years, all have been fake but today I finally found real authentic jamaican food in Glasgow. I'm so happy!!! Food was amazing! Ordered ackee and salt fish, jerk chicken and curried chicken and they were all delicious. This food took me right back to my teenage years, all I need is the Guinness punch lol. Definitely highly recommend this place. 5 stars!!!

The food was delicious and authentic. Wayne is so friendly and generous. He gave us some free samples and Jamaican soft drinks while we waited which was greatly appreciated! We ordered the jerk chicken, oxtail, rice and peas, ackee and saltfish, fried dumpling and fried plantain. Everything was amazing and the boxes were full to the brim! We even had leftovers. Would highly recommend and will be back soon.

The food here is excellent. We've ordered take out twice from Uprising, the first time we had Curried Mutton and Chicken Eskovitch and the second time, Oxtail and Brown Fish Stew. The gravy that comes with dumplings is also very tasty and you can't go wrong with the Jerk chicken. When we ordered takeaway the second time, there were a few complications with the delivery driver so the chef actually jumped on a bus and brought it himself! Now that is one dedicated man and we totally appreciated the effort. The Bigga and Tropical Rhythms soft drinks are also worth trying if you want a drink that packs a wonderful punch. Flavour is certainly order of the day here.

On Tuesday 04th September 22 , I did order Food ( Take away ) from Uprising Glasgow for the first time : The Food was very Delicious, Tasty and piping Hot ! The Presentation of the Food was excellent, well sealed for Safety! I would like to recommend others to Try JAMAICAN Cuisine in Town ( Glasgow ) 😀 Thanks. The real deal Jamaican food. Let me tell you there is nothing like this anywhere else in Glasgow. The food travelled back with me it was warmed properly. The portion size was sized so that you felt like you actually ate something. I don’t believe this kitchen could make bad food if they tried. Oh and the customer service is top notch. I would of added pics but there’s only dumpling crumbs and empty containers. 🤣

I cannot recommend enough. Everything I have ordered tastes amazing. Jerk chicken is the best in Scotland for sure. The dumplings are very cheap and the gravy that comes with them is 5 stars. The selection of Jamaican juice is outstanding I recommend the Ting Grapefruit juice. Wayne is a incredibly nice guy. Always happy. I think I've tasters of almost everything on the menu. I would say I get overfed from Uprising the portions are huge. One of the most important things about Jamaica Uprising is when you Google the name you will find important information about Jamaican history. Honestly one of my favorite if not my number 1 takeaway in Glasgow. 6/5 Check it out you will not be disappointed

Fantastic place to grab lunch!! First time in and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The fried chicken is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experienced The most amazing part is that you can check the hygiene as your food is being cooked!
