Yellowtail Sushi & Steak

When I went to yellowtail sushi and steak, I thought that it was going be like any other Japanese restaurant. The last Japanese restaurant I went to was not great. The food was bland and not that great. I was very wrong. The food was great, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. During our meal, our server came to check up on us often, and even the owner of the restaurant came to our table and asked us if everything was all right. I ordered some sashimi, and it was very good and very fresh. I recommend the spicy palm springs roll. I definitely will come here again.

This place is extraordinary for sushi virgins and veterans alike! I had my first sushi dish (salmon sashimi) here about a decade ago, and I've been returning with my family ever since. The owner is very friendly and clearly loves his restaurant and patrons equally. I can't even count the number of times I've seen him walking around and mingling with his customers, it's so nice to see. Overall the place has a great atmosphere, amazing food, and it definitely deserves a chance to impress you.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally did, on Mother's Day. It did not disappoint!!! The husband does not like sushi or at least he didn't *think* he liked sushi. We got the yellow tail and the chef made our own personal sashimi it was amazing. When the chef found out my husband was a newbie he also gave him a couple other items on the house. We had a lot of fun and wait staff was energetic and attentive.

Food was delicious. Happy Hour pricing all day Sundays. Reverse HH after 8pm daily. Short handed on staff, which apparently is a constant. Our server was new and rocked it considering how busy it was. Definitely need a bartender because drinks were meh so stick to basics. Low key place, fair pricing, child friendly. Recommend and definitely will be going back.

Hello people! This place is such a cute hidden gem! With outdoor seating and indoor. It has a beautiful inside of cozy sushi joint. I don't eat sushi due to being allergic to shellfish but I have an asian partner who loves and knows what great sushi is suppose to be. It was their birthday so I decided to take them here, it was perfect! Legitimately perfect! We sat outside, and it was no wait because most people don't seem to know about this place. The waitress was amazing too she always was there trying to see if we know anything. Gave us extra stuff very attentive. We were a party of 4 and they were very accommodating. I loved how they offer other dinner choices besides sushi. I felt very comfortable here no cross contamination happening, I had experienced cross contamination at other sushi restaurants who don't understand shellfish allergies. I felt very taken care and treated very well. I recommend this place for sushi lovers and people who have allergies like me.

We have never been here before and are upset we haven't. The wait staff was attentive and patient with our questions. The food came out quickly and the Happy Hour rolls were amazing!! The drink special was good for Happy Hour and we ended up getting a couple of martinis(Coconut Martini is a definite!)that paired well with dinner. At the end of our meal, we were surprised with a small cup of Green Tea ice cream at the end which capped off a great dinner. We were also surprised with a visit from the chef who was responsible for the meal. He greeted us and asked how everything was and took the time to answer some of our questions too! This is a great place and I encourage you to visit too! A+++

I stopped in on a whim last Tuesday evening. It was late around 9pm or so and when I walked in it was a great atmosphere. You could certainly tell people enjoy this place and like to hang out especially on Tuesday nights when it’s 2-4-1’s for lady’s night. I sat back at the sushi bar and was greeted by the sushi chef who after a while of talking introduced himself as Ken (the owner) which I had no idea he owned it until reading some other reviews. We had a great conversation and you can tell the people that work here enjoy it and it shows in the service I was provided. The sushi was great! Especially the salmon nigiri. I also questioned the monkey brains on the menu asking Ken if they were good and he said I’ll make them for you and if you don’t like them I won’t charge you for them. Well they were good but I also like trying new things and I had never seen something like that on any sushi menus that I’ve ever eaten at and I used to eat sushi weekly from Virginia to AZ. I would highly recommend this place for families or just a date night or a late night after a long day of work! I will certainly be going back frequently! My new go to spot for sure!
